I find that I am able to be extremely helpful at the front-end of a project, and estimating is the best opportunity to add value to an organization. I find it fun to estimate many projects and to see the project through to completion. I do not enjoy the volatility of the market and changing companies."
"Being an estimator allowed me to apply real world mathematics and minimal puzzle solving, which I feel to be fairly important. Unfortunately though, Estimators and Engineers have a reputation for being 'less than lively'. The downside to my specific case was politics. "Poor working conditions, seldom words of encouragement, knowledge was not shared and the office environmental was always hostile."

"I have never had a problem with deadlines, but when an addendum is issued on a project - it can make it challenging."
