"I like writing code, determining the best way to accomplish a series of tasks. I like the cooperation between coders who are working on different aspects of the same system. I enjoy writing specifications (don't laugh, I do!). I like the hours. I like the fact that I can do my job from any location that supports a high speed internet connection to my workplace."

What don't you like about working at New York Air Brake?

"- Highly stressed out environment. People are fired or let go if you are not your boss's favorite. I have seen people getting fired after taking long vacations.- There is not enough documentation on old and current products making it difficult to understand if you are fairly new to this company.- A lot of red tape for everyday work (for a small/ mid size company).- Given the number of projects currently underway and amount of work we have , the resources are very limited.- There is very little communication between the departments and upper management.- Bad location."

What don't you like about working at Information Systems Intelligence?

"Negative Reviews get threatened and responded to with absolute lies: E.G.: The owner runs this company on christian biblical principals - These principals can be found in the Book of Revelations. Dynamic environment; Get to work on many things - Due to the lack of engineers staying long term, an engineer is forced into working on-the-fly with unknown proficiency while in client production environment and is expected to hide that lack of knowledge to customer. Management cares about the employees - Occasionally, outings are held, however, rare the owner will show up. Training and certification is provided - No Formal training is provided. You are expected to find your own outlet for training. Family atmosphere - Free daycare in enclave. You have to work hard here but efforts are recognized - efforts are recognized only when threatening to quit. lots of little spiff/bonus programs - 10% supposed to any lead that closes. Everyone seems to want to do the right thing and ownership wants to continually get better. - wanting to do the right thing is not the same as doing the right thing."

Engineer at Kalas Manufacturing

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Very poor."

What do you like about working at Kalas Manufacturing?

"Good work experience, but go through hell to get it."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't expect to have a personal life when joining the company. As an engineer, I was told I would be working a 40 hr work week, and that eventually grew to 60-70+ hours per week which is what is expected. Also, don't expect to get any compliments or positive feedback from manegemnt, they are only there to excel their careers and have no intention of developing their employees."

What don't you like about working at Kalas Manufacturing?

"Nicknamed Chaos Manufacturing no one is really in control within the company. Managers stay in their offices all day and have no idea what is going on the manufacturing floor, but gives employees projects left and right. When the projects don't go the way management thinks they should, they blame the employee 100% of the time. No leadership what so ever."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get out from your air condition offices, go out on the floor and see what is actually happening instead of talking like you do when in fact you have no idea."

What do you like about working at Blue Origin?

"I worked with some great people (referring to peers only)."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Think long and hard. I was excited initially. Who wouldn't be Don't let the outside perception influence what's really happening on the inside. My former colleagues are keeping an eye out for other jobs if that tells you anything."

What don't you like about working at Blue Origin?

"Management. It is a very toxic, disorganized, and stressful environment."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Treat your talent as people. You hired me and the majority of my coworkers for your dream and a common mission. I observed others, as well as myself being belittled and talked down to. You can only push people so far before they quit. You give us deadlines for projects and throw some of your most talented people under the bus when we try to present issues. When we are ahead of schedule and give you glowing results, noit so much as a thank you..."

Engineer at Star2Star Communications
in Sarasota, FL

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"The management are the chosen ones and the rest are viewed as garbage."

What do you like about working at Star2Star Communications?

"Coffee was free. I think it is some sort of psychological experiment. Sociopaths...Egomaniacs...Borderlines... Histrionic males (seems rare)...working there was probably similar to that of a mental hospital for acute personality disorders."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Read up on bipolar egomaniacs. This will help you when the CEO comes to interview you. Smile and nod. He will try to make you feel stupid. He will try to break you. Then, if you are lucky, you will never have to deal with him again. He won't even say goodbye when you leave the company and he certainly isn't man enough to fire you."

What don't you like about working at Star2Star Communications?

"Management stinks. Pay is below. They have a marketing scheme to get you in there like it is something REALLY SPECIAL...but it isn't. They will go under."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop hiring and firing so much. Pay your employees their market value. Don't play games with each other."

Engineer at ConforMIS
in Bedford, MA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Overall, I did not have a great experience."

What do you like about working at ConforMIS?

"I have made a lot of great working relationships with people from other departments that I had the privilege to work very closely with on projects. The new building"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you want to advance in your life and career and want to gain something out of where you are working seek opportunities elsewhere. This company has a lot of potential to be a great and successful company just like any other company, but unfortunately, they don't want to invest in the well being of their employees. They will remain behind because of the bad decisions they make and the lack of mentorship and respect for one another. I am a female and I worked with all men when I started. About two years into my employment, I was being bullied by my manager. I was there for over 4 years. I thought if I stuck it out then things would change and it did not; it kept getting worse. I hope that my feedback will help others in deciding if they want to work at this company."

What don't you like about working at ConforMIS?

"No room for growthMostly Insecure managers, very few managers I can say were goodNo professional developmentManagement in my department does not take responsibilities of their own actions they blame their faults on someone beneath themUnprofessional working environment (very much like High School mentality)Boss has anger issues which created a toxic working environmentBoss would post inappropriate pictures of his employees at the end of every serious presentation because he thinks it's funnyHead of HR has close working relations with all the managers so she is never on your side or believes what you say until it is too late. Basically, don't expect HR to be of any help to you when there is an issue. You could live at ConforMIS and they would still give you a hard time that you don't work enough. They expect you to ignore all other personal responsibilities for the sake of the company."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Take some classes on how to manage (get the education required for the position)Employees should give feedback on their managers for yearly review (managers should be evaluated from the employees point of view instead of just from upper management. A lot of important information gets concealed from upper management that they should be aware of)"

"Very stressful. Adversarial rather than teamwork. Managers are all powerful."

What do you like about working at Bausch & Lomb?

"It's a paycheck for now and a retirement account for later."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Talk to current & former employees. The B&L brand image is much different than reality. Many new hires become disillusioned after 6 months."

What don't you like about working at Bausch & Lomb?

"All about politics & image rather than real accomplishments.Managers are allowed to fire or promote people at will."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Establish and require management to follow policies for employee review, promotion and termination. Too much depends on employee's loyalty to and support of boss' political agenda."
