What do you like about working at Kmart?
"It was a nice entry level retail job, but I have grown out of what this company can offer."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If it is your first job apply, otherwise if you have retail experience look elsewhere."
What don't you like about working at Kmart?
"No reward for doing perfect job while no punishment for doing a terrible job. There is no possibility for promotion or incentives."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Yes.... I have lots, but too many to dwell on..."

What do you like about working at Sears?
"I really liked dealing with people. Also, the items I was selling are part of what I am learning at school, so I had a great understanding of what I was selling."

"Presentation and communication skills will definitely help you get the job at Sears."
What don't you like about working at Sears?
"Unfortunately, I could not continue working with Sears, because they would not fix my schedule out to work with schooling."

"Hire more students and younger staff in order to give customers a better understanding of what they are buying."

"Being Paid every other week with a consistent amount of pay."

"Show up on time, everytime and be willing to work hard for your money."

"Personnel changing my schedule every week behind my managers back."

"Listen to your workers and actually implement their ideas. We know what changes need to be done."

"There are good and bad people that either work there or shop there only thing is that the bad people makes life very uneasy, specially managment when 1 they dont know what their doing 2 bureaucracy is the name of the game 3 cronyism sometimes makes a person move foward and 4 the lead security manager is a total hubris and ignorant"

"You will have some good days and you will have some horrible days"

"its imposible not to have something weird happen to you at work"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"organize the workforce hours that way customers are taken care of during predictable busy hours and hevy frates during the night time, set up projects to make the store more efficent have a better screening prosess to hire people make sure there is a system in place where managment is not self surved"

"I like the sheer amount of people that I come across. I also like the physical nature of the work."

"If it's a summer job or something you need for extra money Sure."

"I'd like to do work that actually matters. I'd also like to not be completely replaceable."

"I would listen to the employees more. Stop changing things just to change them."

"Unless it's a quickie job for cash I wouldn't really."

"I'd really like it if I knew I actually did something that matters and that I was valued. Here I'm X on a piece of paper."

"Higher wages. Listen to the people on the front lines. Stop changing things just to make changes."

"Get to work with things I enjoy (HDTVs and cell phones). Friendly coworkers."

"It's great if you're going to school and need a flexible schedule. But if you're interested in long term career advancement, look elsewhere."

"Mediocre pay. Not challenging at all. Would like to see more opportunities for advancement."

"Offer incentives to associates such as commission on large purchases. Would also more actively scour for up and comers whose skills are not being put to good use."

"I do not not like how Walmart micromanages the store."

"Instead of having so many bosses, I think each associate should have one person they report to."
