"My dislikes are: no training, no work/home balance, no appreciation, and extremely high demands."

"Have fun once in a while. It is, after all, a theme park and supposed to be the Happiest Place on Earth. Let your employees experience it to keep morale up."

"I like working with people and the interaction with guests. Disneyland is like a huge family. The benefits are great, and the reputation is outstanding."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be prepared. If you walk in, interviews are often conducted at the time you apply. Know what world-class customer service entails, and be prepared to articulate it. The entire reputation of the company is built on providing a guest experience that can't be found elsewhere."

"I like the fun and excitement you see from the guests, especially first time guests."

"This company is very professional, yet extremely family-orientated, not only with their guests, but their employees and their families as well."

"There was not anything I did not like about working for the Disneyland Resort."

"I felt the management team was very knowledgeable in their given area."

"As far as benefits and pay go, it's one of the better theme parks out there. The employees are fun, and being part of the 'Disney experience', while annoying at times, can be truly magical."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Smile, be cheerful and friendly. The more outgoing and happy you seem, the better chance you have of getting hired."

What don't you like about working at Disneyland?

"It's a great place to work - until you get hurt. The moment you have an injury, it's assumed you're out for a lawsuit, whether or not you actually *are*. It's also exhausting, and many of the costumes are hot and/or heavy and awkward to wear. And in Outdoor Vending, you're not considered a 'real' employee until you've hurt yourself."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would suggest a fairer system for injury, and an attitude adjustment for some of the people in First Aid/Cast Health. I would still be working there if it wasn't for my injury, and these people assumed the worst of me from the start. Also, some of the equipment in Outdoor Vending - namely the carts - need to be re-evaluated for safety."

"It is a large company with many career opportunities. I liked the work environment."

What don't you like about working at Disneyland?

"I didn't like the compensation, and lack of technical expertise in the low and mid-level management."

"This is a very well-run company - no suggestions."

"The union wage was very good. There was no pressure, and good benefits."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be prepared to play dirty politics, and whatever you do, do not rock the boat by getting an idea to improve the system. That will be instant death. Remember 3 things at Disneyland... politics, politics, politics."

What don't you like about working at Disneyland?

"The union is very complacent, old school low technology in a machine shop. People won't learn. They just want to milk the cash cow until retirement. People are lazy and stupid."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Go to school and learn the difference between leadership and management. Disneyland has managers coming out their ears (no pun intended), but not a leader to be found anywhere."

"The perks are nice if you have a family. I don't, so it didn't make much of a difference for me."

What don't you like about working at Disneyland?

"The department that I was in was managed primarily by accountants, who had little to no experience in engineering and overlooked the legal obligations that licensed engineers have to state regulatory agencies."

"Licensed engineers have an obligation that goes beyond the interest of the Disneyland Resort."

"I disliked the internal politics."

"I learned a lot working here. I had classes during this internship that taught me how to become a more professional employee and present myself in a great way."

"The work schedule was really random. And, there were a lot of late nights that went well into the next day while working."
