"I worked with DirectV for 4 years in the customer service department. While I enjoyed some aspects of the company (co-workers, fun environment, bonus), the company is too political in regard to job performance reviews and thus promotion opportunities. If you are willing to follow a script even if it is the wrong thing for the customer, able to stroke the ego of under trained management, and have a thick skin to deal with irate customers due to misinformation, it may be a good fit."

"The supervisors attitude toward subordinates, the lack of flexibility in policy for people's lives outside of work, the decrease in pay for promotions."

"Learn that employees are people and that life happens. I lost my job for being Tardy 8 times in 11 months, all 8 times were 7 minutes or less. Stuff happens and the organization needs to be more flexible with its employees."

"On phones all the time, be ready to take 100 calls each day and deal with very angry people. Supervisors are there to help, but have a bottom line. You will be trained well if you pay attention in the course."
