"There's an emerging Lean / Agile / Six Sigma movement within the company, and it's breathing new life into the IT department."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you're early in your career, Nationwide is a great place to go. If you're say 15 years in or so, it's not so great."

What don't you like about working at Nationwide Insurance?

"There's too much red tape to get even the simplest things done. No one is incentivized to do the right thing, and everyone is incentivized to do things right. Senior management in IT never gets their hands dirty, and consequently often has no idea what's actually going on. Waaaaay too much focus on job descriptions and way too little focus on making sure the customer is being taken care of FIRST."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would immediately put the entire company through Lean / Six Sigma / Agile training, and make it VERY clear that you can either get on the bus right now, or you will be run over by the bus. Enough fooling around trying to make 20,000 people with vested interests in the status quo happy."

"Dynamic, fast paced working environment that concentrates on getting the job done."

"The company is relocating the headquarter operations to Knoxville, Tennessee. The company was recently acquired, so until the change has settled, I would not recommend building a career with Maxum."

What don't you like about working at Maxum Petroleum?

"The upper tier of management is heavily weighted and there needs to be more communication and structure coming from the top."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Increase the level of communication from the top to all organizations for collaboration throuhout the company."

"The owner/leaders are very unprofessional, treat people terribly, and appear to be sucking every dime out of the company and back filling with bank loans."

"The idea for Dynowatt / UCE was to be long on intelligence and knowledge. The good thing about working there was that there were a lot of really smart people."

"The company no longer exists as either Dynowatt or UCE."

What don't you like about working at Utility Choice Electric?

"When we transitioned to Dynowatt, the idea was to build a start up and sell it. This lead to a kind of fast and furious style of working."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stay with the UCE model over the Dynowatt model and it will save a lot of frustration."

"Baseline the company performance against other organizations both in and out of the industry. Perform annual SWAT analysis and Lean management reviews for top QMS results"

"The atmosphere and the people. They always try to get everyone involved in what is happening."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Great company to work for, but turnover is very high. You never know how long you will be there. I have seen high level, well respected employees let go because of decisions made by corporate based on finance alone instead of quality of work."

What don't you like about working at Sony Music?

"Very little ability to make decisions. Even if your title should allow you to, they limit you. Also being part of a larger corporation, the red tape is insane and the politics even worse."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be quicker to react when a good idea is presented."

"I have grow and learn a lot by working for the company. I helped the company to grow to the size it is now and the company helped me gain experience in many different field in IT."

"Depend what job you apply for. I mostly attend all new staffing interviews and most candidates feel comfortable in the interview process."

What don't you like about working at IndiePay?

"what I don't like about the company is when I get a project shutdown because of budgeting. I like new technologies and I am always up to date and always try to benefit the company with new technologies but the company budget never help and moving forward with projects like a DR plan for example."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Anything the company can benefit from I always bring to the table from ways to make the company assets (PR and Accounting System) better. New development projects based on clients requests and IT project like DR planning"
