"Enjoyed the work and the people.Mgmt. came together and sold the company for a great price."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Make sure you understand the full scope of the work and what is expected."
What don't you like about working at Precision Machine Works?
"Lot of work when selling the company. We had six bidders and lots of auditors."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Don't bid on work that doesn't make money. Some in mgmgt. wanted to give our product away just to make lots of sales."

"Autonomous position, good working relationship reporting to owners. interesting travel and great staff"

"This is an aggressive, young, motivated company. You must be prepared to excel at everything, work extreme hours and push the envelope at all times. if you are not willing to do that, do not apply."
What don't you like about working at Gibraltar Associates?
"Caught in job limbo (nowhere to advance to), no reviews, lack of consistency in raises/bonuses."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Be more consistent in culture between offices, communicate with employees better, reward all of your hard working employees."

"Also all good. They have excellent people working for them with mad skills!"

"As a corporate communications PR firm, we naturally have a team environment, but we also have to be cutting edge in order to thrive, so we are empowered to be autonomous, take the lead on projects, bring new ideas to the table, think outside the box. I wear 3 hats at GA, Finance, Operations and HR. The rest of our staff are PR professionals. This means I fully own my position and its responsibilities. I am part of the core team with the owners and the partners, strategizing for the future, and leading the firm's growth and expansion opportunities."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It's a young company full of great young PR professionals who care about their clients. You could rise quickly in the ranks here as a PR person. As an administrator however, there will not be a lot of opportunities for advancement. Overall, a very good company to work for."
What don't you like about working at Gibraltar Associates?
"GA is being merged in January 2012 with a larger firm in DC that already has senior finance, operations and HR personnel. My career path opportunities will suddenly be extremely limited. I would like to take this opportunity to find another wonderful company where I can take the lead in what I do best. Working with start-ups and small, growing businesses gives me great pleasure as I can truly make a difference there and have a role of importance."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would be more conscious of cash flow, and limit monthly guaranteed distributions to a reasonable level where it would leave enough cash to actually pay the vendors on time. I would incentivize my staff to use the company resources more judiciously, and utilize the forecasting and strategic planning to guide the company. I would pay for professional development for my staff and promote employees up through the ranks. I would encourage team building and education for my staff. I would encourage a work/life balance and flexible schedules."

"The firm was sometimes too tolerant of performance levels that didn't match positions."

"None -- they are an incredibly successful firm and treat employees with absolute respect."

"The employees with whom I worked were a very good group of people with immense talent."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be ready to spend multiple days (8+ hours) interviewing...as my interview process lasted for over 2 1/2 days (14+ hours) and included meeting with 8 different employees over that time. This was not something that they informed me about either."
What don't you like about working at Cambrios Technologies?
"The overall culture was very different and included so many meetings on a daily basis that it was very difficult to carve time out to get serious work done without working 80 hours per week. Very engineering centric culture."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"To change the decision-making by committee structure and give autonomy to some very talented employees who were responsible for critical functions."

"I had the opportunity to work for a publicly traded corporation. Did SEC work. Did consolidation accounting."

"I have no suggestions. Because the company has been acquired by another company, I have no idea what the work environment may be like."
What don't you like about working at American Wagering?
"The accounting staff had a poor attitude. The accounting staff was close to the CEO and bypassed me when they felt like it."

"The company has been acquired. I wish the company a lot of success in a very difficult business to make a profit."

"In the end, I left because the demands on my family were too great to stay."
