"The people I work with and the support that they give me."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be honest about your abilities and shortcomings. The majority of your training is on the job, so don't feel bad if you don't meet all of the written qualifications. If you express a sincere desire to work and are willing to learn, you'll be just fine."

What don't you like about working at Burlington Coat Factory?

"The micro-management from the corporate/regional levels. They have us on such a short leash, it's unbelievable. The store managers are not allowed to run their stores. Everything we do is dictated to us and we'd better not deviate from policy, otherwise we risk losing our jobs. The cookie-cutter approach is not reasonable."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Store management is great. Corporate management needs to test the talents of its store managers and give them some flexibility to run their stores according to their markets. Every store is different."
