"The company has great benefits, tuition reimbursement, low healthcare costs, great vacation time, the whole company shuts down between Christmas and New Years and you get paid for it! The company match for retirement savings is great also."

"When coming to the company they were in a transition state using a new database (SAP) which I have prior experience in. But they were in transition with moving assembly to other cities in the U.S. which meant a lot of jobs were at stake so there were a lot of union employees who were afraid of losing their jobs. In my two years there, about 1900 people were being let go unless they wanted to relocate. Bell was also the first company I worked for who was unionized, so that was something new for me. But all in all, my plant had a good moral on an everyday basis, I would ensure they had parts coming in and they would assemble, and I would expedite the parts out, basically working as well put together team."

They lay off good employees to bring in cheaper replacements, but constantly preach recruiting the best talent. Management and their attempt at this lean manufacturing is going to run this place into the ground just like what happened at GM. This gives fear to those who are left knowing that Bell will toss us out soon if we get to knowledgeable or paid for being a good employee will get you put on the cut list. It's a revolving door when VPs quit (some fired), managers who move to other groups because they won't defend these poor decisions that drove the quality down, so they just slither away and let the workers take it."

Not true, they will run themselves out of business soon.Stay away as it is being run by Bell inbreeding. Outsiders that have knowledge are pushed out by leadership who have never worked anywhere but Bell so they don't know any better. They only promote other Bell lifers who suck up, good ol boy system."
