"Stop and pay attention to those who are supposed to be learning from you. Especially since you put them through school so you know that it's all new. Get a new call list, not one that is old. And tell those senior salesman not to brag about how they get the new lists and the new guy gets the dead list."

"Boiler room tactics, making appointments under questionable pretenses, measured by volume of appointments, office politics and backstabbing, constant turnover and rotation of agents through the office"

"You'll work hard, make little money that you'll reinvest in your business and have Bankers cancel policies because folks don't qualify. If you can make it for a couple of years you might make some money."

"No benefits. Poor financial ratings - hard to sell in product to high net worth when competing against other carriers. Med supp too $$$ for middle American retirees."

"Get rid of the recruiting philosophy: Hire anyone who'll take the job and see who sticks....it's blatantly obvious that the bottom line is based on ho many you can hire and how much business they leave behind when they drop off."
