"Although I discovered the career is challenging, the branch manager was very honest and passionate. Most of all he stressed the importance of making honest sales and customer service. No micromanaging but it was clear to be successful you needed to work long hours. Training was incredible and everyone was willing to help."
"Bankers Life has been around since the great depression. It is a great company to work for but they pay by commission only. This is difficult because you never know when you are going to get your next sell. I have made a lot of sales but I need to supplement this income. I basically work for myself but I am in the office two days per week."
"I worked for Bankers Life and Casualty for a period of 8 months. There were great opportunities with the company. The compensation was competitive with other insurance companies but there were no benefits or retirement plans offered for agents. I became inactive in 2014 since I didn't write any more policies."
"I've worked for Bankers since 2011. The company employs around 6000 people and has over 300 locations in California. They pay very high salary and commission to managers and supervisors and they really take care of their people."

"Bankers Life is a great company but not for me. I need to be searching, looking, working, helping, and also understanding people."
"This is one of the finest companies for which I have worked. Supervisors and fellow workers are friendly and supportive. The training is superb and non-stop. I have attended four major multi-day training courses in the last year and a half, all at company expense. Their incentive programs are impressive, and there is a lucrative bonus program. My main problem generating a satisfactory income, therefore I am exploring alternatives."
