"Although I discovered the career is challenging, the branch manager was very honest and passionate. Most of all he stressed the importance of making honest sales and customer service. No micromanaging but it was clear to be successful you needed to work long hours. Training was incredible and everyone was willing to help."

"Bankers Life has been around since the great depression. It is a great company to work for but they pay by commission only. This is difficult because you never know when you are going to get your next sell. I have made a lot of sales but I need to supplement this income. I basically work for myself but I am in the office two days per week."

"The short term project, the project was small and only for 4 months as a contractor."

"Have an substantial amount of savings. Be ready to work 6-7days a week 12hrs a day for the first 1-2yrs"

"I didn't like the commission only, and no medical, dental, 401k. I also thought the support could have been much better."

"I think it is hard in the environment they have to make positive changes. They are constantly recruiting and hiring new people and putting a little work into them and hoping they stick. I would suggest to treat everyone you hire as a valuable asset and take the time to train them and mentor them."

"but don't like that I can't control the time. I worked a lot of evenings and weekends. No family life."
