"As a contractor we have no paid vacation time, etc.."

"Give reportees more time management training in their day to day activities"

"Make sure you are interviewing for a job you like as well as one that has growth opportunities."

What don't you like about working at BNY Mellon?

"The pay is not very good and the job I have does not even require a college degree. I can only go to lunch at 12:30 pm everyday. I cannot take a vacation day if somebody already requested the day off. Someone took that last 2 weeks of December off so no one else on the team is able to take those days off. My job is way too easy for my degree and I would like to have more responsibility."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make more opportunities available within the company so everyone can find a job they like. I feel like there is no room for advancement."

"It's a great job if you don't like challenges and just want to work at mindless tasks. Decisions I make don't affect anything so there is no stress about making mistakes."

"If you get a job here, don't expect what they've told you about career growth and opportunities to be available. Also, your performance is not what matters most. If you can build a good rapport with someone in higher management, you will get promoted as long as you do sub par work."

"The environement is not well structured and decisiveness is lacking in any supervisors' decisions."

"I would have a better understanding of the company's overall operations and not solely focus on personal goals and agendas."

"Do folow your fiduciary rules and know GAAP ERISA and other regulations."

"Some of the management can tend to be corrupt. It is important to be able to follod fiduciary rules which some managers try to get around"

"Management is completely out of touch - there is no direction in technology - groups do not work together - incredibly bad planning - unqualified people manage projects."

"Get someone with experience in an enterprise environment to bring the groups together - create cohesion and an accepted set of goals as a group."

"was first IT job opportunity after college. Learned IBM mainframe environment and various development tools. loved working within our small teams although part of larger IT group. Also enjoyed being part of the systems integration team when Mellon bought other small banks."

"Nothing much left in their IT groups (esp in Pittburgh) since the merger."

What don't you like about working at BNY Mellon?

"Off-hours support was too frequent and uncompensated. Too many mgmt political agendas interfered with advancement process. Ineffective or bureaucratic mgmt."

"Prune management ranks based partly on unobstructed employee feedback."
