"Baker & Taylor used to be a great company to work for, but in recent years it has sadly deteriorated beyond recognition."

What do you like about working at Baker & Taylor?

"The (non-senior management) people there are fantastic. Many have been there for 15 years or more. The people is what has kept that company afloat."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It's difficult for me to have perspective. Having been there for a decent amount of time, I've seen the company do a complete change in attitude. Many of the changes I simply can not respect."

What don't you like about working at Baker & Taylor?

"New management doesn't really know the quality of their staff and that invaluable asset is shrinking (either by company layoffs or by choice). The company is extremely short term focused."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Listen to your people."
