"Working for B&T was interesting to say the least. Good hours with plenty of OT. Management needs major improvement. Supervisors either ignore the child-like stuff that goes on or are part of it. Building has asbestos, which is falling and you breathe it. (OSHA records prove this) The company sets rules and if you mention one to a supervisor/HR it is acknowledged but nothing is done. Work loads are not evenly distributed between workers. Clique workers (those who have an "in" with the supervisor/management/HR) are always acting like they are the supervisor and not doing their work… nothing said. Emergency time off is NOT allowed (i,e... snow/ice days, family emergency) even if you have PTO. All time off in one lump. No sick/vacation time separation. Think twice before going with this company. Research employee reviews first."
"This is a great company to work for. I've enjoyed my experiences at Baker and Taylor. The department that I am working in doesn't have room to grow, however, the company in general is great."
"I've worked at Baker and Taylor since 2012 and overall it's a great company. However, in my current position, I feel as if there's no room for me to grow and develop my skills. Also, there's often an issue with the lines of communication in the workplace. My supervisor is great and very flexible. She works with me to provide the tools needed to effectively do my job. The benefits are great and the work environment is great as well."
"Good or bad depends on what you are looking for.So you still will learn something working here."
"Well thought of in its past, but not the same as it used to be."
