"I enjoyed the people I worked with."

"Don't bother unless you like 50 hour work weeks with little help. Hours are cut so pretty much are the store."
What don't you like about working at Office Depot?
"Company is at a disarray. Cancelled all benefits like bonuses, 401k matching and raises. Closed a bunch of stores and then laid off some of their best workers in order to save money. They rely too much on the technology department with tech services and warranties. This is not Best Buy."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Be on the floor working and don't sit in the office while there are 2 people on the floor doing all the work."

"Don't expect this to be a walk in the park or a fashion show, its hard work to make a bride and her mother happy."

"There was a high employee turn over rate, that led to a lot of things slipping through the crack."

"I think its important to select individuals who have a realistic view of the work involved and the time required to work there."

"They have a good support team for their Managers."
What don't you like about working at Family Dollar?
"The company doesn't pay decently for all the work employess do, and evenings are unsafe in many store areas where they do not allow for extra hours and stores are unsafe in evenings.They become easy targets for robberies. Two people cannot watch a store of that size and not be shopplifted or robbed."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Allow more hours in weekly schedule. Your stores will be taken care of better,and allow for better pay for employees, this will bring more pride into your company, and it will show in the employees as well.This pays off in less shopplifting and a cleanner store and employees that stay and are proud to be part of your organization."
