"My favorite part is creative problem solving. Whether it's simplifying a time consuming business task for employees, creating a framework for enforcing business rules at high-level, or a resolving a complex technical problem; I like to find solutions. My least favorite is the maintenance phase, as it is provides opportunities for problem-solving, but seldom of a creative nature. I dislike working where IT is viewed as an expense to the company rather than an competitive advantage."

"It could have been a great job. I was certainly very appreciated by the business analyst that it was my job to support. There were very stressful deadlines. However, they never rewarded me for my labor on weekends and evenings--in fact they punished me for doing a good job."

"Everyone will nitpick about which framework is better than the others and the argument would be never ending. Whether it be Ruby on Rails or MVC.NET, each environment has it's place. I love the structure of MVC.NET and the simplicity involved in the development environment. My biggest gripe to date with .NET is the timely publishing process in Azure Web Services."

"Love: The satisfaction of creating an application or part of an application that allows a user to enjoy their job more and be more productive at the same time.Hate:Having to work on so many contracts with constantly changing required skills. Changes, that are large enough to not meet a job requirement, are happening too quickly ( 1- 2 years)."

"Love: Code and design, active business calls. Business calls should go on the line of problem and to solve it, sometimes they don't serve the purpose what they meant to be. Hate: Bugs and dumb business calls."

Application Developer at FNC
in Oxford, MS

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"No work satisfaction and no recognition for hard work and efficiency."

What do you like about working at FNC?

"Nothing to gain working in this company.(I have worked in several companies before joining FNC). No use of current technologies and no chance to work in good projects unless you praise the development managers/directors and get into their good books..."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"NEVER CONSIDER INTERVIEWING FOR A DEVELOPER POSITION IN FNC and never think of working in FNC."

What don't you like about working at FNC?

"Worst employee management and treatment. No matter how talented you are, your growth in the company depends on some incompetent managers/directors personal impression. Also u don't get any salary hike for years no matter how good you work. They pay lot of money to new hires who are less experienced than the current employees. NEVER WORK FOR FNC INC if you are a DEVELOPER. HR does not care about listening to employees, is only worried about getting into the good books of management by being an agent of them."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make sure you recognize the employees who work hard instead of recognizing people who are friends to top management or who get some recommendation to the top management through common friends. People who are managers/directors for some departments do not have the necessary skills and reached that positions only by buttering the management people."
