"Great company to work for, but make sure that you have some money in the bank to tide you over when you start this job. Without that, earning comes slowly at first for most, and doesn't really pick up until you've recruited a team. This is commission only, with no other revenue until you qualify for renewals, which also takes a while for most."
"This company offers courses and a very close friend of mine paid for and attended these late February thru early March 2016. Not sure the exact location in Tampa. However, the timing wasn't right to make such a move due to critical family circumstances. Upon completion of the course, he had to back out. The following is the terrible email response he got, just as he showed me, and I had him forward it to my computer for this review. ~~~ "Guess you just don't have what it takes man, unbelievable the lack of manhood and the guys in this country today, but I guess that's why they reward the rest of so well". VP of AIL. ~~~ If AIL endorses this type of response given to someone who has to back out, SHAME! If it were a choice between your family or this position, which would you choose? A pretty crude, insensitive remark made toward a person whose circumstances you know nothing about! NO job position is worth a compromised marriage! It doesn't matter how qualified or gifted a person under those circumstances might be. Shows me where the student's heart truly is. Shaming folks like this because of circumstances beyond their control is way below professional! Your receptionist had much kinder to say to him, since you were not there personally to meet with him. Pretty cold and rotten, and this company is not the only fish in the sea for prospects OR corporations looking for group policies. This is deplorable, uncalled for, and a career move to AIL is NOT recommended!"
"Did a lot of tasks that were unpaid and unproductive. For a 1099 employee, they ask a lot. The clientele that they have are substandard. Oftentimes I would get the close, and the client couldn't keep up with payments, or didn't have a valid bank account, thereby my commissions would disappear."
"At AIL the training was excellent, however, the real life task of trying to get low-income people to purchase insurance that they could not afford was difficult."
"My work for American Income Life Insurance Company was a rewarding experience in that it allowed me to help families in preparing for those most difficult time in their lives. Unfortunately, I needed a more stable income to support my family than 100% commission. Still, the service and product they offered are those I would definitely recommend to anyone and many of the agents there are doing quite well financially."
"The Vasu Agency of American Income Life is undoubtedly one of, if not the absolute best agencies within the company internationally. I was brought in as a personal recruit of my immediate supervisor and I am so grateful for the experience. I've been in sales for several years and I am proud to have gone into the life insurance sector as it gave me a sense of fulfillment I'd not achieved in my previous positions. I've always been proud of the products or services I've sold, however, knowing my work actually protects the families and lives of my clients when they'll need it most has been so internally rewarding. Being a consistent top producer, I was promptly promoted to leadership - yet another opportunity that came with a massive sense of fulfillment. My leaders, including the owner of the agency himself, are all phenomenal individuals and I wish there was an adequate way to convey their character, passion, and commitment to the team and overall success. It's with a heavy heart that I chose to resign and I can truly say this decision, although difficult, has been purely financial. It is 1099 work, 100% commission-based sales with very long and very strenuous hours, but that was an exciting challenge for me. Unfortunately, the income of my already-established lifestyle requires wasn't in line with what I was able to bring in with my position at the agency. I wish them nothing but the best and will be cheering them on from the sidelines as I know they're going to reach great success."
