"Make sure you know what you are getting into. It is a huge commitment that can eat your personal, emotional, and financial world alive until you get rolling to make profit. Expect no less than 6 months of extreme stress and burden. The reward may be there for you, but it will be very challenging in the beginning."

"The structure and support was less than average. Some promises were not kept."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Providing the initial hot leads they had promised. The leads are important to provide some traction to get the pipeline started. Cold leads or leads that had been stepped on before are acceptable and are a part of every insurance agents daily routine, however it would be nice not to have them as the primary source."

"The job is 100% commission based. This is a great opportunity for someone who does really well in sales. The compensation is not great for the amount of work that you do. You don't get new leads often enough to get enough sales to earn any commissions. Newer agents are given the leads that older, seasoned agents have already resolved as not interested."

"It seems that most of the people we celebrated wound up getting the job done in a less than honest way. We go to meetings and praise their accomplishments, only to find them gone in 6 months because they were writing up fraudulent contracts or having clients sign up for more than they could afford, thus losing the contract."

"I would suggest not listening to all the promises they make during the interview process and make sure you're ok stuck in the same position for a while."

"I don't like the false promises of advancement, my boss acting like he was better than everyone and flashing how much he made to everyone, and the attitude of management."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I suggest you treat your employees with more respect and realize they're vital to the success of the company."

"Only worked for the company for half a year, there is a high turn over rate for agents. Its a great job if you're a motivated self-starter, you get to set your own schedule and work at your own pace. Highest ALP life commission in the industry 50%, if you're a great sales person you could be very successful. Cons is its 100% commission, lots of travel, lots of rejection. Great management staff training you."
