"Be very social and out going. The company can be a bit slow at times but just have fun."

"Micromanagement is often times a little too much. We need to be given some space."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop looking over our shoulders every 5 seconds. I can hit my quota without being told what to do every day."

"It is a great company to work with since the learning experience is great. Learning to work independently is the key to success."

What don't you like about working at Allscripts?

"The majority of the employees with Misys have senior management position. Therefore, there are less people available to deliver solid solutions to customers and to focus on the clients."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Focus on Customers is my message to the management. In this difficult economic enviroment in the long run the most important think is to keep the existing clients satisfied and in the short run to win more opportunities."

"Work with a great group of people and have a nice paycheck."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Carefully consider the team you will be working with. Ask many questions about the internal projects going on, and if NEXUS is still going on, stay away."

What don't you like about working at Allscripts?

"The CEO has been with the company 15+ years and while the revenue has grown from 80M to 1.4B during that time, very little if any of that growth was organic. Allscripts has been a merge-to-grow model for years, and now that we have acquired about everything that could possibly fit within the portfolio, revenue is dropping because the only leaders left are the CEO cronies that frankly have little experience on actually growing a company organically."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would replace multiple members of the executive staff. I would also work on building a better and more collaborative internal culture. Internally, a transfer pricing policy with be put in place, and cost center cost sharing would be instituted. I would also add incentives to increase interdepartmental sharing of resources, knowledge and people. Finally I would tear down the virtual business unit silos and would change how development releases new produce - no more throwing new releases over the wall."

What do you like about working at Allscripts?

"Good benefits and friendly atmosphere. There isn't much else to write"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Depending on the department. At least in support make sure you are capable of thinking outside the box when it comes to troubleshooting."

What don't you like about working at Allscripts?

"Outsourcing to India and the lack of movitation and knowledge they bring. They create more work rather than finish work."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get rid of the outsourcing in india. Train people and better communication"

"The people I work for and directly under are very nice. Management may not have a clue though."

"I would consider Allscripts a stepping stone. If you are looking for something permanent, this place will burn you out in no time."

What don't you like about working at Allscripts?

"Their compensation is very poor and raises occur slowly and seldom even with great reviews. Allscripts also is happy to require an 80 hour workweek."

"Reward the employees who are building this company. Start paying the developers you need to make this product right."
