"The work is fairly easy. The commute is not very far. My work/life balance is very good."

"Be a shark. Stab people in the back. Suck up to everyone, insincerely. Don't expect your compensation to grow naturally each year, it won't. Be a jerk, get ahead!"

What don't you like about working at AIG?

"Inexperience and naivete make it difficult to be productive. Much of my work is a waste of time, I either create spec work that goes nowhere or is unneeded or I deal with inefficient work flows."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would never want to run the show, but if I were, I'd stop alienating employees from management level."

What don't you like about working at AIG?

"Due to the previous financial instability of the American economy in 2008, AIG was very hard hit. Jobs have been cut, including mine in the restructuring process. This is live up to the commitment and repays the debt in full and quickly."

"To keep moving in a positive direction to build the company and keep leaps ahead of the competition."

"Most departments do not look for top notch technical skills, pleasant personality and being team player is a big plus."

"Lack of strategic vision in IT investments. Most of planning was targeted towards putting out fires rather than strategic goals to improve over all infrastructure. Hire more managers who have passion for the field they manage."

"Invest more into engineering and system architecture and less into Root Cause Analysis."

"Have a sound sales and marketing philosophy. Products (and services) don't sell themselves - unless supported by programs. A lack of programs point to an absence of understanding. Go to new markets in new countries. If you don't, your world will remain flat."
