"XO Communicaitons is on of the worst environments to work in I have ever been in. The company is set up for failure in a big way and the people in the company are losing skills to make them marketable. I have to call out one Director that has taken one of the highest morale teams in XO and squashed them in 2 years time to crate a miserable team. There is not enough I can say bad about him because there are not enough bits in the web to allow me to complete the rant against this guy."

"XO Communications is very mismanaged. I have never met a company who made it harder to get anything done. If it can be done the most painful, difficult way possible, you can be sure that is the XO way to do it."

"XO Communications, at the time I was there and in the role I was in, was a very difficult environment to work in. They had too many disparate systems and trying to consolidate and get a holistic view of your customer's data was difficult at best. I can't complain too much about what they paid me, but I had a very at-risk base which made my bonuses difficult to achieve at times."

What don't you like about working at XO Communications?

"Traditional telecom only grows at 2%/year according to my training at XO, which is why they are trying to reinvent themselves with cloud services. The challenge was that their cloud based offerings were not well rounded enough to keep up with their competitors, and I was required to sell traditional telecom services, which are seen by all customers as a commodity rather than a solution, and that is not how the job was described during the recruiting process."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would recommend that they partner with a provider like NetEnrich for their new cloud based services instead of the variety of providers they are partnering with."
