What do you like about working at Westrock Development?
"I can play music at my desk, I'm not supervised closely, and in addition to the observed national holidays, all employees are given the observed Jewish holidays off."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"What you see is what you get. Don't expect that you'll be able to change much of anything in the office. Initative is appreciated and pay attention to detail. Business is done here the way it was done 50 years ago, so wear conservative clothing and learn to type!"
What don't you like about working at Westrock Development?
"Change comes very slowly to the office. The owner is moderately narcissicistic, a tad paranoid that his employees might steal his money and invents his own office processes instead of seeking best practices from outside. While QuickBooks is used, only the payables are managed there. The receivables are entered into QuickBooks, but managed manually and are indulated with human error."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Delegate a ton more responsibility, communicate more often with my employees, and give them the tools necessary to complete their jobs efficiently and effectively."
