"I came on during a strange time for this company. My supervisor had a family emergency shortly after I joined and was out on FMLA and extended leave the entire time I was there. The CIO that hired me left the month after I started.From that point on, I never really had a direct report, or any way to measure my performance. When the new CIO was hired and started moving away from SQL Server I knew my time was short as the other DBA had already left. Good people, but most are overloaded."

"The people. Teamwork is an important but often forgotten core value"

"Enjoy it while you can. You will get burnt out."

What don't you like about working at Walz Group?

"The executive team is unwillingunable to dismiss the old regime. After all its not 2009 anymore. New approaches need to be concidered"

"Let the new blood sink in. Too much effort is spent trying to keep the old regime in place"
