What do you like about working at Volt Workforce Solutions?

"That the indifferance to success did not degenerate into physical abuse. The paychecks did not bounce."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you are management, do not believe a single word of their job description. You will soon find out that you are a drone. You will be tasked with mind numbing additional work. Forget about a work/life balance. If you are not management, abandon all hope: forget about raises, benefits, or vacation. Their policy is to give you none."

What don't you like about working at Volt Workforce Solutions?

"This is a place where staff is considered a commodity. You are like a light bulb...cheap and easily replaceable. This is supposed to be a people business, but I have never worked for or at a business where the management was so clueless about what motivates people. Working at the post office would be a step up."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get a clue: a little bit of the Golden Rule would be a major improvement for upper management. Upper management at the Orange HQ are entrenched and there is a great deal of nepotism. Many bright managers are hired and then quit as soon as they can get another job...what does that tell you"

Equipment Services Project Manager

Software Test Engineer

"Honest opinion from someone who's been there and done that!"

What do you like about working at Volt Workforce Solutions?

"As a contract Software Test Engineer, I am not working for them and have little contact with them except for HR issues but I am working on site at the largest software company in the world. They seem to have an exclusive and strong foothold on the agency temp. test engineer jobs there with some exclusive positions with certain groups. 401K retirement plan with 50% company match is nice but you have to take a 100 day break every year as an agency temp. so job security is low."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Do not let their recruiters intimidate your in salary negotiation and never settle for less than what you are worth as they will always try to use scare tactics to make you accept a job offer for lower pay by lying or using sleazy and unethical tactics."

What don't you like about working at Volt Workforce Solutions?

"Some of the worst benefit package I have ever had with only 1 week vacation (earned based on 40 hours per week per year) and no education expense reimbursement. You have to pay for your own medical insurance and continue education classes! Commission hungary recruiters only seem to care about pigeon-holing you in a position for the lowest hourly rate and not necessarily your interest or abilities. The employee representatives do not do much for their employees and they seem to work for their clients rather than their employees."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Your employees are your best asset! Don't treat your employees like robots and objects and run over and use them up like on a treadmill and then discard them! Respect your employees and treat them like human beings instead of your hourly slaves! Change your commission structure for your recruiters so that they are not so greedy and will work in the best interest of the employees. Be more generous in your benefits to your valued employees and perhaps there will be less turnovers."

"Company filled chapter 11 and cut over half of workforce."
