Virginia Regional Medical Center (VRMC) has been providing residents of the northeast part of Minnesota medical care since opening in 1936. Located in Virginia, Minnesota and originally known as the Virginia Municipal Hospital, VRMC is one of the larger medical facilities in the region, offering 83 beds for patients as well as a 116-bed convalescent center.
VRMC also has a walk in clinic, where patients are able to see family care physicians and nurse practitioners without an appointment. Recently designated a level 4 trauma center, VRMC is strongly supported by the VRMC Foundation. It's annual Festival of Trees is a major fundraiser for the medical center, last year raising over $53,000 that was used to updated the med/surgical rooms at the center.
VRMC offers physicians three options in joining the center's staff. Doctors can choose to be an employee of the hospital or with one of the two multi-specialty branches affiliated with the hospital. A third option is an associate partnership in a private practice, giving the physician admitting privileges at VRMC. Doctors also have the support of an award-winning nursing staff working in a patient- and family-focused environment.
All employees are VRMC, whether on the medical or support staff, are encouraged to take ownership of their workplace. They are expected to focus foremost on patient care and needs, to ensure that the workplace is clean, friendly and accessible and that confidentiality is preserved at all times.
Licensed Practical Nurse is the highest paying job at Virginia Medical Center at $39,000 annually.
