"I've worked for USS since 2003 and at the Great Lakes Works facility since 1999. My relationship with my current supervisor is very good and that has been the case most of my career. The people are wonderful and hardworking and the business is very cyclical and can be very tough. Hours can be long, but the benefits and the compensation are pretty fair."

"US Steel is a dynamic company that is heavily influenced by the automotive industry, at my current location the company has chosen to idle the mill indefinitely because of the poor market conditions. The workplace is interesting and new challenges appear every day to keep me interested."

"Place is a horrible. Air water chemical pollution. Should wear a dust mask all the time. Nepotism cronyism drunks thieves bullying assholes and psychopaths. If you need a first job it would be a plus that you survived, like doing a tour in Afghanistan. Only people who stay are stupid losers or are part of the corruption ."
