"Improve the quality of education. The curriculum was pretty light the last time I checked."

"Make sure you get in detail what the expectations are as far as performance. A lot of new employees are disenchanted when they get past training."

"Every moment recorded, inconsistent expectations, late hours and weekends, long commute/no work from home option."

"The company needs to walk the talk more; often we hear about policies being implemented but then we see no progress on these initiatives. Also,lay-offs loom threateningly over our heads."
"I used to work for the University of Phoenix for 8 years. When I first started working there I found the company to be exciting, motivating, and a great atmosphere. Since then they have come on hard times and have set up new rules and policies that made it stressful and not rewarding."
"I worked at UOP since 2007. After 2010 things got ugly. Co-workers were unhappy and I felt like I was doing something wrong by enrolling students who were not ready to be students."

"Role play! Practice pretending that you are on a phone with a potential student. Go over you name and the agenda of what you do. Also, remember that this is a sales job even though you don't get commission for any of it. But it is a sales job."

"Management had no idea on how to manage the new vision of the University of Phoenix, no room for growth, no promotional move, and leadership did not care about employees."

"Know what the true definition of what leadership is because people don't care what you know until you show that you care. That is the bottom line."
"Faculty committee is not as good as it used to be. A lot of unqualified full-time faculty members out there at UOPX evaluating adjunct faculty members in the areas that they don't have expertise in."

"Have a positive attitude and if you are want to further your education, then this is a great place to do so."
"Very cheap in pay, only interested in numbers and not students or employees."

"At first it appeared to be a good place to work, but as the pressure to produce profits and numbers became overwhelming, it went down quickly."

"Rethink the way to see employees and remember you are a university first and not just a profit center."
