"I love my job. It's a great place to work. It's academia, so the pay can be a little under what the private sector would offer, but you just can't beat the laid back environment. I'm encouraged to get work done the way I think it should be done, and to take as long as I need to get things done correctly. There's lots of Plan for the long term mentality, as opposed to hack for the short term."

"I’ve worked for the University of North Texas at Dallas since 2017. The University of North Texas at Dallas is up and growing university and the only public four-year university in South Dallas. The enrollment has gone up by about 500 students each academic year since 2017 exceeding expectation."

"I have been working as a research assistance for almost two years. I learned many things, such as building 4'x8' walls to perform shear wall testing, compression, and binding testing. In addition, I had the pleasure to help building a prototype army shelter (8'X8'X20') that was made of Cold Formed Steel and polymer composite panels for the first time."

"I have worked for the University of North Texas as a student employee and a full-time employee. All of my experiences with UNT have been great and I have enjoyed all of the opportunities that I have been given. Staff at UNT understand the importance of helping students and that adds to the welcoming campus culture. Efforts are always made to listen to others across campus and offer solutions to any problems that arise."

"I have been a teaching assistant for four years in the department of chemistry. In that time, I have been privileged to teach various courses while still having time to complete my doctorate in those four years. While the department has been very supportive and fun to work for, the university as a whole is not. If it were not out of necessity for my doctorate, I would not recommend anyone willingly work as a TA for UNT."

"I worked for the University of North Texas from 2011 through most of 2013, quitting only to finish my degree as a full time student. It was an excellent work environment that truly catered to the enrichment of its student workers and was instrumental in helping me complete my education."
