4.9I am a master student and graduated in Dec. 2014 from University of North Texas. During my 2-year research experience, I developed an iOS app, TravelSurvey, and published at App Store for the purpose of data collection.
4.5I love my job. It's a great place to work. It's academia, so the pay can be a little under what the private sector would offer, but you just can't beat the laid back environment. I'm encouraged to get work done the way I think it should be done, and to take as long as I need to get things done correctly. There's lots of Plan for the long term mentality, as opposed to hack for the short term.
3.9I have been a teaching assistant for four years in the department of chemistry. In that time, I have been privileged to teach various courses while still having time to complete my doctorate in those four years. While the department has been very supportive and fun to work for, the university as a whole is not. If it were not out of necessity for my doctorate, I would not recommend anyone willingly work as a TA for UNT.
