What do you like about working at Universal Protection Service?

"Some of the people in charge are good to work with, but they fear losing their jobs everyday and live with extreme pressure causing them to take it out on the lowest man on the totem pole and cover up thier own short comings by setting some else up to take the fall."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Get all the facts about the account and client you are tascked with servicing and get all requests and demands submitted in writing. Promises are only kept when you have documentation to support your argument. UPS is really good at promising things verbally and then forgetting the discussion ever took place as time passes. And REMEMBER, just because you think you're doing an outstanding job, doesn't mean you can not be asked to leave your assigned duties at anytime without warning or cause...... Protect yourself at all times and keep your resume posted for future opportunities. UPS will protect itself and its clients so you have to also..."

What don't you like about working at Universal Protection Service?

"Company is TOP HEAVY. Salaries are always low balled at the mid level and employees on salary are constantly abused and overworked for the low salary paid. Salaried employees are constantly reminded that they don't get paid OT, but should care about the company needs no matter how long it takes to get the job done."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Take care of your employees and treat them with the same respect you expect in return and they in turn will keep you happy with money in your pockets. The Mid level staff that cannot get paid OT should not be expected to work it when the salary is lower than his/her counter parts of other companies and in some cases within our own company. Maybe a Security Directors Union would help to keep the salaries honest and on a scale based on property square footage. Some SD's and Assistant SD's make more than others who have way more square footage and personnel to cover than others. The Client should not dictate salary based on budget!!!"
