"The best part of tutoring is the kids, helping them achieve their academic goals. Also, the pay is high and you decide when the tutoring sessions will take place."

"Pay attention and take notes on the training, also ask questions if you do not understand any of the paperwork or policies."
What don't you like about working at The Academic Advantage?
"The paperwork could be a little hard to understand, but they try to explain it and give you the support you need. Also, sometimes the parents cancel session last minute, which complicates your schedule."

"Give parents limitations on how many sessions they cancel, or constantly remind them on the importance of keeping all tutoring sessions."

"Kaizen Academy gave high school students coaching for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. It concentrated on picking up the cream set of students in the state Andhra Pradesh, and training them for competitive exams."

"You have to be passionate about teaching and the subject you chose to teach. You should have good communication and leadership skills."

"Since this is an education industry based firm, there is not much of growth for an employee."

"I enjoyed taking notes for other students because it improved my own ability to take thorough notes. In addition, I also enjoyed working with other students one on one while tutoring."

"For those who may interview for this position in the future, I would say that they should make sure that they are organized themselves and be sure that they enjoy working with peers."

"I cannot say that there is anything that I did not like about the college's note-taking/tutoring program."

"My only suggestion to the program is be sure to hire student note-takers/tutors who take pride in their own work and enjoy helping other students succeed."

"I did find there were some people I worked with that had low work ethics. They didn't last very long there."

"Stay vigilant, they're doing great so far but be sure the mice are aware that the cat is checking."

"I enjoyed interacting with the students at the center. Although some were trouble, it was always rewarding to work with them and instruct them."

"It is a job that will become rather exhausting and repetitive."

"The assignments given to students requires a large amount of time grading. It was difficult to attempt to grade papers while attending to students at the same time."

"I would suggest a more electronic way for recoding student progress."

"Students are great (most of them). I enjoy tutoring and I can work around my schedule."

"Like anything else, come to the interview prepared. Be sure to keep yourself organized and this job will be smooth sailings."
What don't you like about working at The Academic Advantage?
"The phones are often busy. If I need to talk to someone, I need to wait on the phone for a while before getting directed properly. Email is better, but sometimes, things are easier to say then type out an explanation."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Give out cheat sheets on some of the more important policies. There are things here and there that seems to pop up but looking and remembering one line in the handbook is sometimes hard."
