"I love working with other students. It is cliche, but it is true that one learns so much while teaching another. While tutoring, I was able to learn more about my own ways of understanding a topic by trying to understand their approach. It is truly enlightening and there are a lot of technical and personal skills to be gained being a tutor."

"Love that all the students are in my home town. They are easy to get to and the parents are very welcoming. The tutoring mainly takes place in home but once in a while they want sessions at the library. Difficult to say that I hate anything about this job but probably that I have to print out things for the students. Also, once in a while the kids will have an attitude during sessions."

"I loved the fact that you get to help doctors learn and overcome new software obstacles and the results are great which result in helping you build a relationship with the medical staff. Instead some of the software features and I know that teaching doctors some of those features actually made their life harder not easier."

The longer you spend with a student the better it is. You really get to see their knowledge grow. There is nothing to dislike about this job."
"I love the flexibility of the schedule and the location of tutoring. All the students I had had tutoring at their home. what I disliked, was using my gas. I don't get reimbursed but I do save my receipts for tax season."

"Let me say what I dislike first - the paperwork. Other than that I love being a tutor. I go to the student's home and help them achieve their academic goals. The job is very flexible and the parents/families are very accommodating."

What do you like about working at The Academic Advantage?
"Higher pay than many of the other tutoring companies out there. They find you the clients and you schedule with the client the day/time, which I liked. Most of these tutoring companies work the pretty much the same way so choose a company that pays good and can get you a lot of students. So far Academic Advantage has been able to do this for me."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Good place to work for. Make sure you have reliable transportation."
What don't you like about working at The Academic Advantage?
"Wish they had more students I could work with by the end of the year."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Let tutors know when more students become available. I have a very open schedule for work."

What do you like about working at The Academic Advantage?
"As a college student and living on my own, I needed something that was part time and could pay well. I came across an ad for this company and applied. I was pleased with the training and information I received. I got two handbooks that had lots of information from curriculum to completing paperwork. When I first contacted my students, I was afraid that the families were not going to understand my Spanish. Today, I feel that my Spanish has improved tremendously and working with these students was of great joy that will last a lifetime. Thank you, for the opportunity to tutor and make a difference. I am so happy that I could make a small contribution to help students and make a better image of life and future in their mind."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Brush up on your Spanish... it really helps out a lot."
What don't you like about working at The Academic Advantage?
"Knowing a different language was beneficial. I know some German but the languages the families I worked with spoke either Spanish, Korean, or Vietnamese."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I'm aware of the demographics of my neighborhood but maybe a heads up that we would be working with a lot of bilingual families."

"I truly enjoyed working with this tutoring company. Thank you for giving me this great opportunity with working with one of the best tutoring companies. I really enjoyed working with my students and liked the customer service aspect of the company. They were a great support throughout my journey as a tutor."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Bring snacks and a phone charger to the orientation. It can last a while."
What don't you like about working at The Academic Advantage?
"I didnt like the fact that I was going to pay for the fingerprints."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Waive the fingerprint fees and possibly provide snacks at the orientation."
