"I have been at Transystems for 2 years. The people I work directly with are great, but I sometimes think management only looks out for themselves."

"TranSystems Engineering started out nice. People who work in this one large room with cubes are very nice. But it's a dark and somewhat depressing workspace. Leadership repeatedly told staff that regional staff jobs were secure--until layoffs and closed offices without it getting out to industry. Philadelphia office very political office and one unethical person rules the roost in that office. They only care about bottom line not employees. Put up a great smoke screen. Benefits were good but work was often last minute rush. Flexible schedules but heavy workload. Be careful taking a position in this office and who you report to. This is a corporate nightmare. No communication about direction until massive changes and new "vision" every 6 mos. Layoffs in the blink of an eye in region and companies, loyalty means nothing. Employee beware."

What do you like about working at TranSystems?

"When I first worked for this company it was a great place and very productive. Small office and everyone was very close and taken care of. Good benefits, good retirement, great atmosphere. I worked my way up the ladder and enjoyed my job. I was very happy until it all changed."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"What once was is no more. Proceed with caution Corporate office is evil."

What don't you like about working at TranSystems?

"When Corporate started taking control..the branding and such... it quickly went downhill and everything changed. I got a new boss and after turning down his advances I was told my career was over with. I was let go with several others not long after that with no severence, health, and my retirement accounts liquidated."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The ones that were my bosses at the time have since relocated or been laid off except for the pervert who is still there."

"Ask directly about overtime. Specifically, how many hours are your REQUIRED and EXPECTED to put in every week.Ask how reviews are conducted."

What don't you like about working at TranSystems?

"Corporate is not interested in employee morale.Overtime is the rule, not the exception.Corporate will take credit for big wins, but blame satellite offices for any type of loss."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Explain new policies being implemented to all employees; and not just in an electronic newsletter. Stop acquiring small firms for their expertise and then phasing out all of the employees that work there. Explain in plain and simple terms how much business (in dollars) sponsoring an Indy car brings in to the company. It may be a philanthropic endeavor, but it doesn't look good internally when dozens of people are laid off at a time."

What do you like about working at TranSystems?

"It was a challenging job where I was responsible for the maintenance and development of large apartment complex design, specifically relating to the hydrology of the area."

What don't you like about working at TranSystems?

"The manager of the division had poor personal skills and did not understand hydrology well, thus it was often difficult to explain what I needed to do, and how much time was necessary."

"TranSystems gave me room to grow from an Administrative Assistant to a Security Specialist. They allowed my potetnial to flourish."
