Working at Thomson Reuters in Woodland Hills, CA: 1 Employee Reviews

Account Manager

What do you like about working at Thomson Reuters?

"The $ and the home office. This makes you much more productive. Going into an office many times can have a negative impact on your selling time. It is fun selling a Ultra-Complex Product (we have over 2,000 products we offer) - it's a Cerebral Sale and your selling to highly educated clientele CPA's - tax attorneys."

What don't you like about working at Thomson Reuters?

"Much different now than when I started. Company is in transition - bought Reuters a year ago and many changes/cutbacks to make up for the large purchase in the last year - like commission structure and bonus. Besides having less support staff, we took a paycut and we no longer get quarterly bonuses - which were 5k each quarter. Only thing raised this year was our quotas which I am fine with because I want to sell more to make up for the lack of bonus. For many it does seem to be a revolving door - similar to copier industry as far as people staying. I am considered a senior rep because of my five plus years. I have seen a lot of people come and go."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Increase commission percentage back to last year and bring bonuses back."
