"They where very sales person orient however education was not a priority I feel you need to understand product before you sell it."

"Fully educate your sales staff on the products before you put them in the field."

What do you like about working at Applied Cardiac Systems?

"I learned a lot about heart related problems and how to sell to Doctors."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't tell them you're black and don't allow yourself to be intimidated by the awkward interview process they have. It was the strangest set of interviews I've ever been involved with. It was a lot of mind games and then a final interview where the CEO treats you badly. It was a stange and exhausting experience."

What don't you like about working at Applied Cardiac Systems?

"The territory was huge and the management team were made up of people that had family ties to one another. Those who weren't related, were so closely tied to upper management that it was really an unhealthy environment working environment. I would not recommend this company. In addition they DO NOT hire African Americans. I felt like the company was made up of Frat boys rather than business professionals. It was a very eye-opening experience."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire people that are not related to you to run the Sales Teams. Also, you are better served by people who can not only carry out tasks, but the strength to disagree with the CEO in areas that will help the company. Leading by fear, is not real leadership and that is the way CEO runs the business."

What do you like about working at Allegiance Telecom?

"I liked that I was able to learn the basics of Outside Sales by actually and I was able to learn by actually bringing my sales manager with me for the first couple of my scheduled appointments. This made me feel very comfortable with my selling techniques and any questions that I had, I was always able to ask my sales manager directly following the meeting with our business client. Since this was very effective, I learned business to business outside sales from the beginning."

What don't you like about working at Allegiance Telecom?

"I was not crazy about working in the Telecommunication field in general, although I was able to learn many interesting facts that I can use later in life with the sales aspects that I learned."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I think that the management was all very close at Allegiance Telecom, both during and after work. This could be positive and negative, but in their case, it worked in their favor since they were all very comfortable calling each other and letting each other know how deals were going at every point of the way."
