"Too much emphasis is on achieving goals. No effort is put into getting the tools needed for realistic goal setting. 90% of the branch computers do not work. The company is using old technology in the field for acquiring data and information. Corners are cut everywhere. A sales rep gets 18 cents per mile for traveling. That's less than 50% of cost."

"Have enjoyed working here until recently."

What do you like about working at Terminix?

"I enjoy working with co-workers. Benefits are not bad, when you are allowed to use them as stated in handbook."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you enjoy putting familiy first and then work - RUN!!"

What don't you like about working at Terminix?

"I dislike changing office policies and politics. We were recently told how we could use our sick days. I thought if you were sick, you used sick days, not the case. Middle of a flu epidemic and people risk losing time, money, and possible job. Preach a customer is always right mentality but when we try to make it so, we get penalized as employees. Looks like management recently tightening up rules and inventing rules to possibly get employees to quit. Terminix supposedly built on Christian values but routinely have to work on Sundays and on Christmas!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"To work more as a team with employees and not concoct rules to encourage a negative work environment. To be the corporation as advertised in company handbook. Quit making up new rules, policies and regulations for the sake of doing so. Quit inventing the wheel. It is not working for Tru Green - don't ruin the Terminix culture."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be ethical. Think outside the box to motivate your team. Be grateful and appreciative for hard work. Fire yourselves!"

"I don't think Sales is the job for me even though others may enjoy it."

What do you like about working at Terminix?

"I enjoyed the training and positive attitudes. Terminix has good rewards and is an overall excellent company."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Make sure you understand what you are getting yourself into. If you're in Sales, then you need to expect sales. You need to be a closer, and have the skills of a closer. Not a presenter, or an order-taker. You need the ability to create and close sales."

What don't you like about working at Terminix?

What suggestions do you have for management?

"None, I believe they know what they are doing. The company is pretty successful."
