Submit a Review"My work as a Tech Depot Service Associate is challenging and fast paced. Our ticketing process requires a diligence and work ethic that is definitely above the norm. We must always carefully attend to each customer's PC just as carefully as we would attend to the customer themselves. Each evaluation given to a customer's machine is thorough, and provides a solution that is all encompassing to the customer's needs. Work is usually completed within a life cycle of 1-2 days, and most customers leave astounded and overjoyed by the work that we do. From viruses, data retrieval, operating system repair, and more, we handle each service excellently. That said, our demand is heavy; customers often come in bunches at a time, requiring us to balance our resources accordingly. We are often required to work on as many as 5-6 PCs at a time, which can sometimes constrain some of our technicians as they swing between customers on the sales floor. We freely utilize commonly available resources to complete our work, which more often than not benefit the customers. But these can be few and fleeting at times, which compromises the ability to complete some of our work in a timely manner."
"It is hard to find good companies to work for these days. Working for Basec I had some potentials with moving up with the company and I hope to find another company to work for where there are potentials of moving up with that company to."

"Friendly environment to work. Few talented people are working here."

"My advice is do not interview here. There are many better companies out there."

"There is no consideration for employees given by the higher management."

"Your employees are also valuable to you as your clients."

"x-ray machine in micro inches and micro meter. Know how to convert metric into english and english into metric"

"they basically hired anyone willing to work overtime. So answer that you want to work overtime."

"too much labor and mass inspection. hired 1 more plating q.c. so that to slow down inspection"

"Hire for people in q.c. so that mass inspection will be things of the past."

"There are some really great people here. The environment is clean, smoke free and health oriented. There is a free gym for working out, free movie rentals and low cost catered lunches daily."

"Negotiate the salary you want when coming in. They will not allow you to raise your salary even if you move to a higher paid position."
What don't you like about working at First Command Financial Services?
"I have serious concerns for the future of this company. There are people in high positions that are here for a party and want to leave with as much money in their pockets as they can take. So much self absorption and infidelities with management make working here like watching an Aaron Spelling TV show."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"There's a serious lack of leadership in my management branch. The management style of our VP is like a toddler who sees something shiny. My direct manager has zero power to make decisions. We're all left to drift wistfully with the lack of direction from our VP."

"Growth opportunities are minimal, payscale is not good , increase over 2 years is not satisfactory"
