"* Veteran engineers within the commercial application group do not involve new hires in challenging assignments. If you are new to the team you most likely will end up doing some crapy work although you deserve better. * Compensation was below market."

"* VP of Commercial Applications need to work more on getting closer to his team if retaining skilled engineers are among his priorities."

"I liked the flex schedule opportunities, but this was not specific to CACI, but rather the client worksite."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"You'll be interviewed three or four times since their organizational process is lacking. In general, confidence is more important than actual knowledge because few of the CACI people are knowledgeable enough to actually judge your capability on a given subject."
What don't you like about working at CACI?
"Bald-faced lies on the part of management. It was impossible to get a straight story out of anyone in any written form. I got the continual impression from them that they wanted to avoid having any written trail of communication. In the end, I had conversations with people over the phone they denied had ever taken place. In hindsight, I would have insisted on written documentation."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Leave the company. There are better companies to work for in the area, and in the industry. CACI, among defense and federal contractors, is without question nothing more than a staffing organization whereas a BAE Systems, GDIT, NG, SAIC, and so on, are actual do-ers in the field. CACI is a career dead end, and their bottom line is revenue. The talk about caring for their employees is just that - talk. Talk is cheap."

"sometimes changes are made without consulting the workers that know how best to improve the system"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Top down management has caused many of the issues that have caused delays. Listen to the workers and not just the Supervisors. Try to encourage a problem solving approach instead of a cover my (you know what) approach to solving problems. Don't worry who is to blame and just solve the problem. A worker who makes a mistake will likely not make that one again if he is supported by management and not hunted down for dismissal. if he or she is always in jeopardy they will likely try to point blame instead of solve the problem"
