"Before I joined SynergisticIT, I was skeptical. It seemed like a lot of money with some of it to be paid up front. However, I stuck with the program and graduated a few months ago. It paid off – I was hired as a web developer several weeks ago. For me, the most valuable part of this camp was the supportive community. The instructors, staff, mentors, fellow students, and alumnae are incredible. Here is what I think about the camp. Pros: Python, Java, Machine Learning, Data Science, AWS along with some great selection of frameworks. They also provide good amount of interview prep and practical sessions. Instructors and mentors are amazing. You never feel that you are alone. Companies love SynergisticIT as they have a very good reputation in the market and also a very impressive IT client list. Cons: It is a little expensive and the upfront payment part may pinch a little but when you compare the quality of teachers and curriculum, it is totally worth it. If you have done programming before, you may find the pace a little slow and if you have no experience whatsoever, it may feel fast and overwhelming. If you are planning to attend a bootcamp then you should keep the following things in mind: Have enough money for the program and expect to pay out of your pocket for at least six months until you find paid work. You should have 20+ hours of coding experience if you are applying for a full time program. You will have to spend a lot of energy post graduating. The first job you get might not be your dream job. While some graduates get hired by big companies with an average salary of around $85k, some coders may have to work at other jobs as well. Know that there is a lot of competition for entry level jobs so don’t be discouraged. Finally, I would just say that SynergisticIT teaches you in-demand tech to make you job worthy with relevant skills. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to become a successful programmer."

"I chose SynergisticIT because of several reasons. One of the main reasons was that I was looking to get certified in Java and they had an in-depth curriculum dedicated to it. They expect you to learn the basic fundamentals of HTML/CSS and JavaScript before you begin so if you don’t, joining a prep course can be a good idea. When you get the hang of the basics, real learning begins. They had the curriculum I wanted. The second reason was their schedule. Since I don’t do well in self paced programs I needed a vigorous and full time training course that could keep me motivated and on track. In that case, these guys are the best. They don’t use pre-recorded sessions, the teachers’ train you live with regular Q and A sessions. You spend at least 7 hours every day from Monday to Friday with weekend assignments. The third reason was their thorough job support. When I joined them, I was in a desperate need of a job change and by the end of the curriculum, you get professional training to appear for interviews for top IT clients. It may take some time to find a job owing to the tough market condition but with their unending support, you will definitely find a suitable one even if it comes a little late. Other couple of reasons includes their in-depth curriculum, their focus on each student, regular assignments, repeat sessions, all online camp, pair programming and on job technical support. The only downside is the fact that you don’t get to meet your cohort personally But you do make wonderful coding partners while handling group projects. Another thing you may not like is to repeat revisions, you need to get your assignment right before you move on to the next one. I am now well settled in my job, thanks to their amazing support and the salary is good. So if online coding camp is something you can pull off, this can be a pretty good choice for you."

"Part one: Life before SynergisticIT Before I signed up, I always found myself experimenting with different programming languages in different jobs. I would try and challenge my knowledge to build tools faster and tackle problems easily to make my work flow better. And before I knew it, I started enjoying this experimenting and then I thought; why not make it a full time occupation? Part two: finalizing the right bootcamp In a market saturated with training camps, making a choice was not easy. I spent quite a few weeks researching good options online and reading endless reviews. I wasn’t looking for those kinds of superficial reviews that talk about fancy teachers; I wanted to know people’s real experiences. One thing about this camp that really stuck with me was the enthusiasm with which students were talking about it. The kind of projects they got, the final outcome, the quality of teachers, and that intrigued me enough to sign up. Part three: life during coding camp I quit my job to learn coding since they had full time classes with weekend assignments which would have been impossible to manage with a job. The best part was small batch size. They did not allow more than 7 students in one batch which means more attention to everyone. The assignments part became a little too intense sometimes and I did face trouble catching up but this practice helped me in longer run. We had repeat sessions which I haven’t seen any other camp doing much. Part four: life after camp You start to think like a programmer once you finish the course. I wanted to become a full stack developer and they taught me the necessary skills. After the training, you get amazing job support too. They market you as per your skills so you get the kind of projects you deserve. But you need at least 6 months to get your certification and considering some additional time for your job hunt, it could be a little longer process so you have to be entirely devoted to make it a successful experience."

"It is not easy to obtain H1b visa. No matter what you have read or heard from your friends, the journey is tough and heartbreaking sometimes. The switch to H1B requires technical competency and higher skill set which is impossible to develop on your own. I have seen some of my friends leaving US because of lack of a job in their field and they could not extend their OPT any other way. The major reason behind that was that they lacked training and skills. So, joining a training camp is a crucial step for your H1b application. So what should you do? There is a lot of staffing companies, consultancies and camps so it is obvious to feel some confusion. Don’t worry that’s why I am writing this review! I have an experience with both a staffing company and a camp and here is what I think: staffing companies are good too but they are overpriced and you don’t get any assistance in terms of skill enhancement or overall development. Yes they will create a professional resume and they will market you but their model is mainly contract based plus you would have to pay a part of your salary to them for a set amount of time after you get a job. So a long investment with certain boundation! What about camps? Not only do they train you and teach you necessary skills but they also groom you professionally so you can get hired by big IT companies. My recommendation for a camp is SynergisticIT as they help you build a successful and stable career. You get good salary and you don’t have to pay anything except their tuition fee.Your salary will be 100% yours! 99% of their candidates get into long term projects based on their programming skills. My whole transition process was 3-4 months long. And without their help I could not have gotten this kind of job. One suggestion I have: they should lessen the training duration for h1b or OPT students bcoz of time crunch. Also the job search part can take some time as it depends on your skills. So don’t wait too long and join right away!"

"I already had experience with coding but I still felt that I had gaps in my knowledge that I so desperately wanted to fill. I did visit some NYC and San Francisco campuses but most of them were pretty basic. Thanks to my coding experience, I could differentiate between what was good for me and what wasn’t. I wanted to get in depth knowledge of Javascript and React and SynergisticIT like a good option for me. After making up my mind, I quit my job as junior java developer in hopes to become a better and more experienced Python engineer. So here’s my experience summed up for you: The first and the most important step is your technical screening, you will need to pass the initial screening if you want to join. The second most important factor for your success is your mindset. You need to be sure about joining a Bootcamp because they can get very intensive and demand focus. Once I started the class, I saw the care and hard work that SynergisticIT invested into their curriculum to solidify the understanding and help students master the concepts. They believe in pair programming so you not only develop better technical skills but make some really good friends along the way. And yes, all this happens online! The program is intense but definitely worth it. Students are given solo assignments and group projects too. The best part is their assistance for job interviews. They groom you as per market standards and make you job ready. Since I had prior experience I got more interviews with less effort. They market you efficiently and because of strong network, they find you suitable work without making you sign binding contracts. Final words: I won’t say coding camps are easy or this is the only camp that is good. But it suited my requirements and I wanted a place that could get me hired by top IT companies so I joined SynergisticIT. So you need to first understand what is your end goal and based on that, you can make a decision."

"Coding wasn’t my first profession. I was working as an interpreter and was in between jobs when I discovered the world of coding. Earlier I used to think that you need a CS degree and then only you could become a coder, I did not know about boot camps that help make you a programmer who can earn pretty well within 6-7 months. Now after researching for options and enrolling in one myself I can say confidently that coding camps are certainly the best way to become a coder in shorter period of time. But remember that not every camp is good. Some would promise you results and even free classes but then their study material and teaching techniques will be outdated and teaching staff would not be good. So you need to be careful about which place to join. Yes, I have seen many students feel worried about getting in a place that charges upfront but the biggest advantage with dat is that they will give you quality. SynergisticIT has been quite helpful for me since they are an online camp with an eye to detail and thorough curriculum. Not just the bookish knowledge but you learn your fair share of building new applications and websites as well. After six months of training, I pretty much learned all the latest technologies about the language and got great help regarding job placement too. What I liked? the most I liked was the 360 degree support these guys give. Be it doubts, job support, curriculum, quizzes, practical, resume marketing they do it with dedication. So you get the best of both worlds – in depth training and job support. What I did not like? Assignments can become a little too much as their schedule is pretty tight. Also there are no prep courses so if you don’t know the basics or have some prior experience; it will be difficult for you to fit in. Do I recommend this place? Yes why not! If you want to join an online camp that can assist you from beginning till end (job search), SynergisticIT is definitely an option to consider."

"Get ready to work hard if you want to join a boot camp coz they have very rigorous routine coz they try and teach you a lot of things in short period of time. Coding assignments, daily classes for full time and weekend ones for part time, group sessions and theoretical skills, they do it all within a span of 3-5 months depending upon which course you are doing. So which camp can you join? Before that, keep a few things in mind (sharing from my experience so u don’t make the mistakes I did). Join a place that has shorter groups, where they take ownership of students from start to finish and help with doubts related to curriculum. Payment and placement comes afterwards because if your basics aren’t clear and you are not learning properly then no job placement will help u coz u will be let go. So focus on the training and curriculum part. For me, SynergisticIT worked. This place had different style to handle things which really appealed to me. The best was online classes and technical support for a year after your job placement, I mean who does that? I wanted to make sure that I was investing my money and time right and these guys really proved to be a good return. Even with bad job market, I got a placement within a month after my course. Yea…there are probably many options but you gotta decide what works for you and not follow anyone or anything blindly. I have heard many other good names like Ironhack, NYC Data academy, Lambda School, le Wagon, Springboard, Tech Elevator and Thinkful etc. but I chose as per my requirement and I don’t have any regrets of my decision."

"In my opinion, coding boot camps don’t get the appreciation they deserve. So I thought why not share some facts and my experience so students like me who are still confused can get some idea. As an immigrant, you always need to be cautious and there are just so many rules and regulations that it gets stressful sometimes. Here is what I have learned as a student here: • If you think you can make it on your own here, you can’t • Finding a good job is not easy • Even if you have the degree and knowledge, it won’t change anything because the competition is so high • Applying to even a hundred jobs won’t ensure a good job offer until you market yourself appropriately That is why I said training camps are like must if you want to finally get a big break. Even if your final goal is not to shift to H1b or Green card, you still should try and find an appropriate job to keep your options open. There are two-three kinds of platforms from where you can get help like – training camps, consultations, staffing companies and hybrid of these all. SynergisticIT is the hybrid of a consultation and a boot camp as they help with your job placement along with training you to be a coder. I joined them to succeed on my coding journey. Since the job market is tough, I knew it would not be easy to get placed but with their great marketing techniques and continuous support, I finally got a very nice opportunity. The journey and wait was worth it – that’s all I can say..... Some known consultations are: APA International consultants, Hays – recruitment Agency, International Staffing Consultations, Global Hospitality etc. Ultimate staffing services, Randstad office and administration, tech USA etc are some famous staffing companies. Udacity, Bloc, Thinkful, NYC Data science academy, SynergisticIT, Coding Dojo, Flatiron school, etc are some top coding boot camps."

"As a student, I was always very afraid that what if I could not get job, or what if I lack in training and no company would hire me. From where I come, the corporate culture is very different from what it is in America as it is quite competitive and fast here. So I decided to join a training camp to better my chances at making a career in IT field. The next big task in front of me was to finalize a place as per my needs and budget. Based on my research and friends’ suggestions, I made a list of all good camps like The Tech Academy, Dev Mountain, Springboard, SynergisticIT, Software Guild, Bloc, Hack Reactor, Epicodus, and Brain Station etc. I wanted to enrol for online classes and expand my base in AWS with JAVA. So my next step was to narrow down my list. Upon further digging, I got to know that The Tech Academy provides online classes along with hands-on software development training. Students even have option to attend in-person coding classes, though I did not need that. But their focus course was not something I wanted. Next choice was springboard. They provide job guarantee within 6 months of graduation or they refund the tuition fee which is quite a claim but again their focus wasn’t Java which I needed. SynergisticIT was next on my list. I researched about them too and found that they are good with Java training and provide remote classes too. Then was Software Guild which seemed like a good option too. With on-site and online courses along with a good network, I was almost ready to join them but the fee was a bit much over my budget. I also looked up reviews of all these places online to ensure I was making a right choice and even got in touch with some ex graduates on LinkedIn. I got mixed feedback about all and so I decided to go ahead with SynergisticIT coz they were suiting my most requirements. Over-all in my training period of 4 months, I found that they have good trainers and their coverage is in-depth. My experience was mostly good."

"Synergisticit made me work on technologies and concepts which I thought I knew. I stayed with them for nearly 4.5 months and after they were done with me I was called for interviews by multiple clients and I received 3 offers, 1 each from Google, Apple and a startup. Think of this firm as a hole in the wall, small organization like a small eatery which even though not huge, not funded by VC's will absolutely provide you tech skills, which will enable you to get into tech firms which did not even consider speaking to you earlier. It's intensive, it's expensive, but it's 200% worth the money and time invested."
