"I do not like the middle management. I think that they are generally inept and not willing to listen to fellow employees' ideas."

"Spend time listening to other people's ideas. Encourage innovation. Do away with much of the dead wood in management."

"Due to the economy, the company was forced to keep downsizing. (I survived many layoffs before my position was finally offshored.)"

"Balance the offshoring of jobs with local talent in order to better keep the bottom line (client deadlines and therefore client satisfaction) in mind. Sometimes upper management thinks of only short-term savings and doesn't grasp the big picture."

"Executives were more focused on spin-off without clear path which caused high employee turnover."

"Better communications from engineers that are responsible to customers. More focus on fixing customers problems."

"Excellent engineers, great customers, a challenging environment. Everyone is interested in doing the right thing to keep the customer satisfied."

"You need deep experience working with a wide variety of technology vendors in a Service Provider environment to flourish here."

"Management turn-over and constant reorganizations. In 3.5 years we had 3 CEOs and seven reorganizations."

"Frequent reorganizations give the preception of instability and saps the confidence of the empoloyees."

"Make sure the compensation plan and details are known upfront and agreement is reached on when the compensation plans will be released."

"Too many management layers and remote employers are not supported as they could be."

"SunGard had excellent mannager talent in house, so there is little I can add to the current management styles that are applied."

"Make sure you have in writing the details of your performance based bonus schedule and a commit date for receiving the bonus plan."

"Enterpreneurial spirit was evangilized, but not applied. Too many layers for decision making. Little to no support for remote workers."

"Ask for a 5 year roll out plan for innovative new product solutions which address client needs, based on direct client input."

"Working with clients and the travel - area covered was from Eastern Canada to Virginia"

"Be aware of the time necessary (also I do not know if they still do plan development)."

"Some clients (I felt) were getting 'short-changed' in the development process due to time constraints"
