"I usually don't like to say things like this but this company was very racist. I was surprised that I had to deal with it during modern times."

"Learn to treat people of different races better."

"Management is not very good at managing expectations, and you have to do a lot of self management, They are slow at performance evaluations, and raises. I left mostly because of an opportunity to make a lot more money."

"Make sure your underlings are appreciated, and push back against stakeholders when their requirements are unrealistic."

"If you are interviewing for a mainframe programmer/analyst position and could completely blow off the interview so that I could get rehired, I would really appreciate it!"

"Customer were very nice. Lots of daily variety technically in supporting customer Disaster Recovery testing."

"Managers tend to be weasels. Must talk to other employees in private to find out real work conditions"

"Never knew when you were going to become the next casualty. Years of service and great reviews mean nothing when pink slip time comes around."

"SunGard was a good place to start. Initial job growth is decent but then rapidly declines along with compensation."

"Each site is so compartmentalized that the employees are disconnected from the company as a whole. SunGard is all about the margins so the less they pay the more they make off the contracts."

"Pay promoted employees based on fair market value rather than on a they should be happy with any raise mentality."

"It provides real challenges that must be analyzed and resolved. I am the type of person that enjoys solving puzzles."

"Start the job with the attitude that you will hit the ground running. Plum the depths of experience among your team. You should find them diverse, so there will be plenty to learn."

"I believe that the recent change in management has developed a negative atmosphere within the organization."

"I had 5 interviews before I was hired 3 months later only to be laid off a year and a half later. I liked the job & my co-workers. good place to work if they like you."

"When making decisions about lay offs please review employees work history and don't go off of who you like or dislike to make the final decision."

"They are not doing well lately. But when the economy picks up they are a good company."

"Some of the old-timers don't like the customers and don't like me helping them as much as I do."

"Interview and ask thorough questions. Company is too bottom line oriented and is quick to RIF. Too much emphasis on billing hours."

"Closed review system. Black balling a standard practice. When challenged, managers take a defensive attitude and are not open to change and process enhancement."

"Be aware that some of the mid level managers are not in the correct positions. Project managers need to be more involved and see that some senior leads are not the correct persons for the job assignment."
