"Be firm and strict yet friendly and welcoming or else the students will eat you alive."

"I love working with kids but at the same time when they know they are having a substitute they tend to be less disciplined like when their normal teacher is there."

"Only to invest more into Interactive programs for the students. A basis for my thesis in grad school. But that would come down to what's left in the budget for the district after necessities."

"I found working in a classroom somewhat easy, needed something with more of a challenge."

"Only a partial stepping stone to teaching, as a sub no plans are done by you and that is one of the missing pieces to move to full time teacher."

"They should hire many more full-time substitutes for each school so that the substitute teachers could get to know the staff and students better."

"The salary, part-time, not knowing if you will have a job day-to-day."

"The only suggestion is that the jobs could be posted earlier than at 11 p.m. the night prior to the teachers absence."

"It pays well for a recent college graduate job. I get to teach math, which is a constant review and helps me see things I know from a new perspective. It is a very professional job, I am respected and very well liked."

"I did not have an interview but I have been a very responsible person and have classes to teach constantly based on my excellent work."

"The work is not steady, therefore the income is not steady. I am not being used to my full potential."

"Lack of benefits and regular schedule, poor pay. I would nice to show up to the same place each day to have a place to call my own."

"It has no benefit, low payment, and a part-time job."

"If the government will hire specialist to work with children with disabilities more, it will help those individuals a lot."

"Off the top of my head, nothing. The only joy I get is when I'm working with the students, sharing ideas, learning."

"It's not that hard to get hired and to work here."

"Very political. Instead of focusing on the students' needs the administration and faculty only focuses on themselves. No structure nor organization, which is very disheartening because it's an educational institute. No praise, recognition for hard work."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I'd walk around more, enter different classes unexpectedly to see what really goes on in each classroom. There are a lot of employees who do nothing all day, and not only does that hurt the school as a whole, but the children too."

"Management should hire more permanent substitue teachers for specifica areas. I have filled in last minute on many occasions."

"no work available in the summer since schools are all on break"

"raise the current pay scale, and stricter hiring. I feel that it is too easy for bad candidates"
