"Love interacting with teachers and other staff members. Enjoy teaching and helping kids to learn. Hate not pay increase. Same pay for about 12 years. It is no advance opportunity inside Kelly. Opportunities come only from the schools. Working as a substitute in Orlando you are not part of OCPS. So sometimes, at first, you get a "cold treatment"."

"The hours are great. They are regular school hours 7:30-3:30. I enjoy working with students to help them succeed in their assignments and to help them get to the graduation day. One thing I do not like about Substitute Teaching is there is not enough Substitute Teachers to go around and I have to teach three or four or more classes a day and it gets very old and tiring."

"A substitute is a position where you cannot move up in the workplace. You are stuck unless you want to continue a career in education, which is something that I do not plan on doing. The great thing about being a substitute is the experience that you gain from working with individuals of all ages. "I love working with teenagers especially with middle and high schoolers compare to elementary children. I find elementary children more challenging because they require a lot more attention and a lot of times it is so hard to deal with them. With teenagers, I really enjoy myself because they are fun and I try to be cool with them instead of being strict so they could learn in a better environment. One thing I hate about this job is that I do not get any benefits. Don't get paid during snow days."
