"Upper management seems more interested in stockholders than products. Since the merger the company culture and morale have plummeted. Employees are no longer seen as part of a team but as a resource to be used up and discarded. At a recent company meeting when asked about low morale the CEO replied If you have a problem working here then RUN don't walk to the door"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Instead of cutting jobs to make up costs for bad business decisions, why not cut some of the ridiculously inflated salaries and bonuses you have been giving yourselves."

"The old Black and Decker was a great company with fantastic people. Some of the people are still around, but most have been forced out and replaced with bright young know it alls."

"If you really need the job tell them anything they want to hear. It does not matter anyway. If you are smart you will look at this as a temporary resume builder. There is no loyalty between the upper management and the employee."

What don't you like about working at Stanley Black & Decker?

"Everything about the company centers around this quarters revenues. There is no consideration of the future investments needed to grow and retain talent. Very politically driven management structure. Soon Dewalt will be a so-so product do to this short term vision."

"Let the people who know the product make the decisions. Stop believing you know what you are doing."
