"They claim to make new hires a sales representative in 2 years. It was realistically more like 7 years."

"I regret moving from sales into management."

"At the time of my employment, the corporate environment at Sherwin Williams in central Ohio was a nightmare except for the HR. This was not the case in the Cleveland market to where my hiring manager Pete Cobb moved after I was hired."

"I wanted yo get out from behind the desk at times and meet with the contractors on site, face to face."

"Hire based on personality more so than experience. Someone who can sell themselves is invaluable. Also, give praise when praise is due. But, make sure your employees never mistake your kindness for a weakness."
