"I thought it would be a good move for me to build this company but with limited funding and limited bonding it would not work."

"They will not be hiring due to staying small and have limited funds"

What do you like about working at Cal Poly Pomona?
"California State Polytechnic University of Pomona is actually my university. The company that hired me is a nonprofit organization called Battelle, but the work was done at the university. It was very convience for me to work and go to school at the same time. Occasionally, the company also sent two of their full time staffs down to supervised me and provided all the financial and technical support."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I personally do not have much experience with a formal interview, but a few tips that I have is to believe in yourself and do your best. Be motivated and willing to learn."
What don't you like about working at Cal Poly Pomona?
"For some complex chemicals that required more advance technology to be analyzed, the company agreed to analyzed it for us. However, the head of the company is located in Ohio, so the sample had to be air mailed over. The shipments actually waste a lot of time, and we had a very tide schedule."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Working in school is very convenience, but the technologies and equipments that were available were very limited. I believe if Battelle had allowed my co-workers and I to work in their professional lab, we would had learned much more and obtained much more data and results."

"Treat all claims about compensation, travel, advancement opportunities suspect. Do not relocate to work there."
What don't you like about working at New World Systems?
"Dysfunctional management environment. Poor intercompany communication. Senior management churn has created unstable environment"

"Institute a real HR department; provide management training to all new managers; implement consistent policies."

"Co-workers and immediate managers are great. Hours are flexible. Office location is awesome."

"Overall stay positive and don't over extend yourself in the interview. They will place you in a group that needs your skills. However, if you have exaggerated in the interview you will only fail. If you are a manager level applicant, be prepared to have to support every one of your decisions."

"Company politics and nepotism are rampant. If you are a hard worker and just try to stay out of the politics you will be fine. Let the managers deal with it."

"Base decisions on business need, not nepotistic gain. Let the middle managers control their groups to produce results instead of micro managing."

"The staff level people were professional and worked hard to get the jobs completed on time"

"The people working for this company do not have a high opinion of the management or the way the company is managed. Be aware the company is not the best place to work."

"The management did not know what was going on and was very easily mislead by lower managers."

"I would tell them to understand the work the staff is doing and not listen just to their direct reports"

"I really do not have any negative feed back about the company."

"Research and develop the market in Mexico, Central and South America."

"It was very challenging in the development of the Users Interface implementing the latest technologies."

"Change control was not managed well and I would expect anyone wanting to work with that to be prepared."

"Various managers would request changes to the applications at the last minute and would constantly put the projects in a critical state."

"Better management of client expectations with their own internal management staff is recommended."

"At times I had to work 16+ hours a day in order to ensure the timely launch of software applications to comply with project deadlines set by the client."

"The regulation of change control with the clients was the most critical aspect that needed to be abided by."

"The inability to correct problem areas once they were discovered."

"Those most responsible for providing resources to execute the project successfully, wouldn't provide the resources. This required 7-day work weeks for several people."

"They want to land bigger jobs but they seem incapable of scaling their operations accordingly. They need to think bigger."
