What do you like about working at Cardinal Health?
"Co-workers and peers. Most always work very hard to do their jobs."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be patient. I have seen management leave applicants sit in lobby for an hour (often). The disrespect of your time is your first clue. Managers do not hire quality and experience, instead, they hire people who will not outshine them and will take orders. Managers are not good or to be trusted."
What don't you like about working at Cardinal Health?
"Cut throat. Management is good ole boy club. You go against the grain they will get rid of you. No respect, false respect, for employees. Can not trust management."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Need genuine experienced managers who care about employees! Working conditions, fair wages; and who knows about the work areas they manage, what it is like to do each person's job. Not incompetent LSS black belts."

"The support and locality are conducive to an optimal work environment."

"Do the research to determine if the company can best fit your needs."

"I am looking for better and higher paying opportunities within the area."

"It is better to provide encouragement with criticism than just to provide criticism."

"Progress was a great company; got to work on many project for the Power Generation teams. Projects were challenging and fun."

"I have not worked in the new Duke environment and under my new management long enough for a valid answer here. My suggestion would be to be more focused on project management then actual project development."
What don't you like about working at Progress Energy?
"Progress has been purchased by Duke Energy and the Raleigh and the corporate culture does not seem to moving in a direction for me. I am wanting a more challenging development and innovation based project structure."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Duke Energy's new management is less focused on developing innovative technologies and more interested in vendor solutions and contract development."

"Site people were great, IT short staffed, was literally working myself to death."

"User base was great, all adults, team managers communicated well."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't expect any of the training they offer. We were constantly told to take training, but were refused time due to short staffing, required to do it on the clock but no overtime was allowed."
What don't you like about working at Dell?
"Lack of IT Equipment/process support, our site was acquired in a buy out and treated like a red headed step child budget wise even though Equallogic made huge money for Dell. Servers and backup devices that were business imperative were denied support as it didn't fit their ideal model but they would not do anything, but I was responsible to keep it all working, some equipment over 10 years old!"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Replace with suggested equipment, open ports between domains to allow licenses to work, increase capacity of new but incapable backup system. Support Email archives. Many others over the years."
What do you like about working at Thermo Fisher Scientific?
"Occasional travel to other locations to complete various projects and the people in the Auburn location are good people."

"Lack of commitment to the IT professional when it comes to continuous education."
