"The company is completely disorganized operationally, they fire people when numbers aren't being met instead of finding the underlying problems, they have no faith in their employees, they completely disregard company loyalty, and they have completely blown every possible opportunity to stay relevant in the minds of the American consumer for decades."

"I would be a leader who has faith in his employees instead of just a boss looking at numbers. I would also completely change the marketing campaign for the U.S. to entice the consumer more."

"Everyone is responsible for everything. It's a collaborative system, which comes in handy at times, but sometimes it feels like I'm picking up a lot of slack for the other associates."

"While the tasks are simple, I always come home from work feeling like I did something valuable. Also, my experiences with customers are wonderful nine times out of ten. My managers respect me and I can talk to them."

"A genuine interest in people and solving problems their way more often than yours will take you far. This job also fits perfectionists, as you will spend a large portion of your time rearranging products and making sure all products are lined up on the shelf."

"Store meetings and pep talks are repetitive, and secret shoppers are supposedly grading us constantly on a myriad of SOPs."

What do you like about working at rue21?
"I love the freedom to clean just about whatever you want, within your assigned zone, you wanna fold then fold, you wanna fix the walls untangle racks go for just do something. I also love how close the girls and I are we're like a lil rueFamily. rue is also good about breaks (OSHA yelled at 'em recently) you HAVE to take your 30 minute break like clock out and clock back in."
What don't you like about working at rue21?
"they send us way too much stock which we then have to cram into a tiny store or they'll give us a bigger store with more crap. If you don't sell fragrance you die... if you do your manager gets a turkey or ham around thanksgiving (woo). I've worked there a year, never had a customer complaint, and am continuously a top fragrance seller, and get minimum wage, a new boy started last week, also a sales associate makes 25 cents more than me, my friend started after me quit came back and makes 15 cents more than me.. thats just not right. I'm also not considered full time because I work 38 hours a week for the past 2 months (you need to work 40hrs for 3 weeks to be full time, and then get a pay raise.) thank rue for nothing, they also don't even trust us enough to void an item oh you scanned something twice buy accident that sucks now you have to scream across the store for a manager to stop whatever they're doing and come void something."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"my managers fine, the CEO needs to fire the buyer/buyers who buy ugly crap in large quantities which consequently ends up shoved on an overstuffed $2 rounder. The part that really gets me is they send the same crap that didn't sell last year and expect it to sell, now thats just idiocy."
What do you like about working at RadioShack?
"I like the tech, and decent money when the right customers come into RadioShack."

"Try and sell because that's how you're going to make your money."

"I don't like being micromanaged and yelled at about things we cannot control."

"I would suggest better pay, less micromanaging, and listening to the employees more."

"We are given too many regulations with no give. If we can't flex and sway with the changes that come and go, we are put at a disadvantage."

"Make the CEOs that make the decisions work with the grunts at least once a month. That way they can see how it is like on the front lines. Also they wouldn't be extra help, they would be working as if they were a regular employee. If there is only one employee at that location, then that is how it would be for them."

"I would definitely restructure the management at my particular store. They are totally self centered and focused on their own gain instead of the work forces happiness as a whole."

"I believe he would see that family time is important and managers are letting customer walk for no reason. We work on straight commission and letting customer walk because they do not have the entire deposit for financing is silly. I am convinced the CEO does not know a fraction of the things that happen in his stores."
