"Being unable to request a chance in position after you messed up because you didn't get training for the job they put you on."

"My suggestions for management are to allow other associates to make some decisions"
What do you like about working at RadioShack?
"I would say the only point of working at RadioShack I enjoy is the customer demographic. Being able to help people set phones/electronics up is the key point of this company. I admire how RadioShack strives for customer service. If only they'd direct some of that appreciation/effection towards their employees."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If you're a high school student, and have absolutely zero responsibilities or bills, then this job is perfect!If you have an apartment to pay for, then you're going to need a secondary job or income method."
What don't you like about working at RadioShack?
"RadioShack is too focused on no product sales, i.e. replacement plans. Some of these plans seem to cost almost half of the price of the item they're buying ( $7.99 for one year of protection on $15 headphones). On top of that, if we don't sell a certain percentage of replacement plans we are penalized. The micromanagment is atrocious. I should not be reprimanded by more than one person for a 15-minute tardy. For this company to become a pleasant work place in my market, there needs to be some changes in management and the expectations of sales associates."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would suggest employee appreciation. To me it feels like RadioShack holds no appreciation towards its lower level employees. This baffles me, seeing that other than paperwork, we do most of the work to keep the store functioning. A qualified store manager should know this already. It seems, however, that none of them do."
What do you like about working at HPI Racing?
"The Industry. It is a fun place to work most of the time."

"Be yourself. It is always best to be yourself, this way the company gets to know you."

"The polatics, clicks. People tend to team up with others at times."

"Take care of your employees and appreciate them. Don't take them for granted."

"The team is very friendly and informative. They provide help when necessary and we joke casually with each other."

"They are a very stable employer and open-minded when it comes to their employees. I don't mind reapplying to this company in the future."

"I have no complaints, I have not had any issues with the company policies."

"I have none, she does a great job with customer and employee concerns."

"aeropostale can be fun, but there are a lot better companies out there"
What do you like about working at Aéropostale?
"Some coworkers are very nice, occasionally aero could be fun. Employee discount is very generous"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I personally would never go back to this company. I promise you can find a better job any where else. The company I'm with now has better pay, better hours, and also offers benefits for anyone who works there part time or full time! And might I mention, part time employees also get paid vacation and paid personal days. Aeropostale does none of this."
What don't you like about working at Aéropostale?
"The company really isn't that bad when the store is open. When they close, expect to be there for hours upon hours. I dont understand how the company can't figure out, if you don't put 30+ stacks of shirts on one table with 20+ plus shirts in each stack you won't have such a mess! The store was way over stocked on the floor which is why minimum wage paid employees would have to stay until 3-4 in the morning straightening after every other store in the mall had closed up hours before...and most of them were bigger stores. You can stay working on one table for 5 hours with how many items are piled on one table. Everyone is always talking about everyone behind their backs, even management. If you have a scheduled shift don't every assume that the end time is when you are actually going to leave. Before you can leave, if you were on a register the manager has to come and count it down and they usually wait until your scheduled time to leave or after to do so. You also have to finish your go-backs (the items that customers leave at the register that they don't want) which trust me, can take up to an hour. If you work here from january-may don't be surprised if you get your schedule and see a 0 for your hours that week. They also have call in shifts where you have to call in on the day scheduled to see if they need you and that is the shift that they love to schedule people for. The aeropostale I worked for had no break room. Nothing. There was a stock room with one chair by the computer and a bathroom so don't expect to bring something to work to eat...you won't have a place to sit and eat it!"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I wouldn't suggest much to the managers of the store, but to the higher ups I know the store managers are just following what they tell them. I would treat the employees better, better pay, maybe benefits for part time since the only full time positions are the managers."

"I greatly enjoyed the amount of autonomy afforded to the employees."

"I would not suggest expecting a career from this company."

"The complete lack of support from the corporate office was disheartening."

"Clearer communication from the corporate level to the employee level would greatly improve things."

"They met my minimum salary needs. They are fairly easy to work with."

"Don't expect much in the way of benefits. Expect some creative accounting when it comes to accrued PTO. Don't expect much flexibility or variety in scheduling."
What don't you like about working at Batteries Plus?
"Holiday and benefits packages are skewed to the advantage of the business and not the employees."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Step up into the 21st century with regard to benefits. ie: PTO should not be automatically used for requested days off if still being scheduled for a full work week. Holiday pay should be available for all regular holidays whether or not the holiday falls on your scheduled days off."

"I love helping customers and being able to offer them my knowledge and assistance in finding exactly what they need."

"Be yourself. The more real you are, the better chances you have of getting hired."
What don't you like about working at Nordstrom?
"The return policy affects our commission, and it really isn't fair to the employees that Nordstrom will take back worn clothes without tags, and then we get accounted for that transaction."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The management at Nordstrom is outstanding. I never had a problem with any managers."
