"The independence of the job. I liked being able to manage my own routes and planning them to be the most efficient."

"None. Just make sure you have a good driving record and that you are drug free."

What don't you like about working at Safeway?

"I didn't like how the boss was never around. She wasn't around to manage her employees."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Just to physically be there more than a once a month check up. To help get a handle on a few things. I feel that things could of ran a little bit smoother."

"If hired, follow the company policies to the letter. It's very easy to make a mistake."

"The security policy could use some work pertaining to detaining shoplifters and women working graveyard shifts."

"Many thanks to Robert, Store Manager in La Jolla, CA for being such a great boss."

What do you like about working at Safeway?

"Safeway offered the opportunity to see the inner-workings of the grocery store business. I worked as a courtesy clerk, a helper clerk (maintaining inventory on the shelves) and as a front office assistant. I learned many aspects of the job and enjoyed working alongside the people."

"People applying for positions at Safeway should realize that they have a strong emphasis on customer service."

What don't you like about working at Safeway?

"I wish I had taken the opportunity to develop more skills and learn more from the management."

"I think the management of Safeway would be well served to have a better relationship with the employees, to include other employees in current issues facing the business and solicit ideas and offer opportunities for employees to engage."
